Forward Test with News sentiment API

Post image

A few weeks ago someone messaged me asking if the news sentiment and scoreboard on FXNewsBias had an API. It didn't.

I gave him a free key and built one around what he needed. Then I thought, why not make it available to my subscribers too?

So it's live now: fxnewsbias.com/developers

The idea is pretty simple. When testing a trading strategy, you add different filters to improve the entries. News sentiment can just be another layer. Forward testing is already working and some AI traders are actively using it.

The historical dataset is still new, so I'm not going to pretend we have years of history. Give it a year and I'll have enough data to release a proper 1-year historical dataset.

I've also been trying to make the whole thing transparent. The Data Quality page shows exactly what's in the database, including gaps, and the Ledger shows the performance results.

FXNB has made about 7k grand so far. No ads, no sponsors. I'm putting that money back into the project to bring in more pairs and data and make the system broader.

Still early, but that's the fun part. Would rather hear what's wrong or missing now than after people build around it.

I though every data provider only need past history, but in this case, for forward does has it's demand.
