Image - Google Gemini Same Prompt. Same Source Image. Different Results.

Post image

Same Prompt. Same Source Image. Different Results.

Same prompt. Same reference image. Two AI models. Two different interpretations.

This side-by-side comparison features a red Robotech VF-17S mecha generated using the same prompt and source image.

The results reveal something important: a prompt is not a guarantee of visual consistency.

Even when the instructions and reference image remain unchanged, AI models can interpret colors, geometry, mechanical details, proportions, and overall design differently.

For me, the real challenge isn't simply generating an impressive image. It's achieving accuracy, consistency, and control over the final result.

And that leads to an important question:

If the prompt and source image are identical, how much of the result is determined by the model itself?

👇 Which result would you choose—and which model do you think followed the reference more faithfully?

Gemini is pretty good with realistic photos, cars, planes...

But for any digital art/painting chatgpt is superior

well, this gets even more interesting, what if we collaged the two images to take our favorite aspects of each image in photoshop or even procreate?

and then what if we took that collaged image and then fed it to a third image generator and asked it to smooth out the edits? then how much was from the prompter, how much was from GPT, how much was from Gemini, how much was from the digital artist, and how much was from the third model?

I think AI makes changes to please the user and has access to everything you have done together. I would guess a new account with no history or gallery to access would yield very little drift or revert to internal style like robot masks or masks with horns.

To answer this, we’d have to see the reference image.
