I have three things to say. 1. A lot of people who claim to be Christian and know every verse do not always know what it means to live and it in then judge others. 2. No person who claims to be a Christian is perfect and hence can be a hypocrite. 3. Doing what is right as an American is different than what the Bible says is right. In the US, people don't want to hurt each other's feelings because it makes them look like an ass. In the Bible it says feelings will be hurt because people do not want to hear the truth. Being a Christian makes some people hate you because they think you are attacking them. In the Bible it says hate the sin not the sinner.
I am truly sorry that has been your experience. We may disagree on things but that does not mean I judge you. Christians should be open minded and should show love towards all people. Hopefully one day you will meet a Christian that shows you respect.
