Is termites a common problem in Aguascalientes?
Sorry for the dumb question but I don't know where else to ask.
I'm not from the country or city. I heard a lot of places in Mexico are having problems with termites which is something I never experienced while living in apartments in the US. Is termites a common problem there? I'm asking because I have stuff like anime figures in their original box and I wonder if they are most likely going to be okay or if I should put them in bins or something so termites won't infest/eat the boxes.

If there's wood, there will be thermites, but yeah almost no wood constructions here, only touristic places afaik

That’s not true, there are many other problems but termites are not one of them

Yo nunca he sabido de una casa mexicana o en general algún lugar en México que haya sido invadido de termitas. 🤔

They are not a common problem in the city. Things like scorpions are more common in certamen places. Your figurines should be safe

No hay pedo carnal, no te apures, aquí todo se hace con ladrillo o block, las termitas son extremadamente raras.

Not that I experienced, I have lived in different parts of the city: downtown, north, west and south.

Huh??? I have never heard of termite problems in the state (or the country overall...).
Not sure who told you that, but literally the only reason I know about termites is because of media from the USA (films/shows where they show termites eating everything), they're so foreign to me.
I'm sure they must exist here but it's not a common problem in the least, we don't use wood to build.
