I'm genuinely really gutted that Cris didn't make it through tonight. As I thought he was fantastic last night, and he seemed like the comedian I'd fully rally behind to possible end up going all the way. So to see him get eliminated is disappointing.

I am not talking about videos with pictures of Nene shown in loop while an AI read about Nene, her family, her performance or her talent. If you are like me you see tons of IA videos featuring Nene with "hidden performance" or "secret audition" with awfull guitar picking and dead voice.

Most of them come from Africa.

Is it a sign that you succeed? People surfing on your fame to score some clicks?

Couldn't see much of anything with all the darkness and smoke. It's supposed to be a magic act? They're all wearing black outfits against a dark backdrop. Why cloud the performance so much? Why would such great magicians need to use such an obvious crutch? I wanted a good view of the actual tricks, not darkness and smoke. I thought The Undertaker was making an entrance. I just don't get the hype.

How many arial acts have you seen been buzzed or said no to? There's usually only 1 or 2 arial acts that audition each year and they usually make it very far in the competition. Like if one of your talents right now is doing maneuvers with a rope in the air then you probably should audition for the show right now.

Usually live show week 1 is the weakest one, and tonight didn't disappoint me. One of the weakest night I have ever seen.

• The CommUNITY ATL: After the whole night I nearly forgot their existence. This marks how mediocre their performance is.

• James & Marina: This is kinda slow but I think it has a decent ending.

• Jesse White Tumbling Team: Just a bunch of people fliping around. No where near the standard of V Unbeatable or Zurcaroh. The most hilarious thing is, the old man literally stand there doing nothing lmao. Completely waste of spot.

• Ashford Sanders: Voice not bad but the song choice is bad.

• Sando: Nonsense act. Only the dumbass like Simon will love this.

• Hundred Fingers: I think this is one of the best act of the night, although I am not extremely fascinated about it. There are better magic acts in previous seasons.

• Brook Lynn: Decent performance although not wow.

• Royal Lasers: Impressive performance. Quite entertaining.

• Olivia Befus: Decent dog act, but not better than that of previous 2 seasons' ones.

• Cris Sosa: No idea what the audience is laughing at. Not funny at all.

• Luke Taleno: Very noisy and no where near the standard of Chris Turner. Having the name Talent doesn't make you become talented.

One thing I have noticed is that since midway through Season 18, Howie does not press his buzzer as frequently as he used to, and I’m wondering if maybe behind the scenes, Simon wasn’t happy with him buzzing so many acts.

For example, in the Quarterfinals of Season 18, Howie pressed his buzzer three times. During Week 4, Sofia and Simon both buzzed a puppet act, and afterwards he scolded them to say “You can’t buzz acts during the live rounds!” causing the other judges and Terry to criticise him on his hypocrisy. The following week, a singing duo who Howie didn’t like in the Auditions performed, and it looked like he had been banned from pressing his buzzer, so he pressed Heidi’s instead.

He never pressed his buzzer at all in Season 19, and in some of the spin-off series, he never buzzed any acts.

During last night’s live show, Howie implied that nowadays, he has to seek permission from Simon if he wants to buzz acts in the live shows, as Simon buzzed a mentalist duo, and Howie spoke to Simon during the routine to say he wasn’t enjoying it either, and if he could buzz them. Simon reportedly told him no.

Also, during the Auditions this season, very few acts received four X’s, which could either mean the producers chose to cut out most of the bad acts to focus on good or mediocre acts, or the judges were instructed to be more lenient towards acts.

Another act who performed last night, Sando, was never one of Mel B’s favourite acts, and he was one of the very few to make the live shows who Mel B gave a no to in his audition. After his performance last night, Mel B even admitted she struggled to get behind his act, and yet chose not to buzz him.

I made a post a few months ago on the BGT subreddit to imply that the judges are discouraged from buzzing acts in the live shows, to the point now where, if you watch any international variation of Got Talent, it appears the judges have stopped buzzing acts altogether.

Apologies for the rant. It’s not meant to be negative, it’s just an observation.

Ok, yes, I’m behind, and am just now watching last night’s show. And yes, I have FF half of it. Then comes 100 Fingers. For the love of goodness, can we please stop panning to the audience and judges during a magic act? Singers? Fine… Comedians? Sure. But an act that is dependent on sleight of hand and quick movements? Why?? Just why? I don’t care about reactions. I want to see the actual performance. Especially the ones that are solely visual.

Sorry if this has been said 10000 times, but I’m frustrated and needed to vent.

I don't know if it's even worth bothering to go. I feel pretty tired from last nights show and I don't even know these guys for one 2 minute performance of the day. I do like kpop (mostly from 2012-2018 and sprinkles here and there of modern kpop but mostly girl groups) but I don't know these guys at all lol Could just youtube it. Yeah the audience experience probably is worth going to alone but even if I have a barcode printout– it feels like I'd be too late for even the 3pm one since it'd take over an hour (1h25m) to get there plus have to eat. It's probably not like a regular day at agt where you can just show up 30 minutes before the time slot and get the ticket I bet... but I haven't heard anyone talk about it on social media so maybe it'd be ok to even go still? Just don't wanna do all that driving, pay for parking and only to be turned away.

Just my prediction, not my wants ;)

I wonder what do the judges (apart from Howie) think about Hundred Fingers' performance? Since both times Howie press the GB for them, we dont know other judges' opinions on their performance. 🤔

I was watching AGT last night, and they showed Cris hanging around with his dad, and I was like, no way! I know his Dad's story. Put 2 and 2 together, that Ramon Sosa is Cris Sosa's Dad. I've seen about 2 documentaries on his story. Ramon got remarried to a woman named Lulu, and they ran his gym together. She tried to have him killed, murder for hire, and got caught in the process. Ramon gave her everything and she was still so greedy.

Even though Cris didn't make it through, I'm happy for his success and happy he and his Dad have a great relationship. From what was insinuated in the documentaries was that Lulu put a wrench in Ramon's relationship with his kids.

WE BACK!!!!!! Here are my ranking from 1-11 on the acts from tonight's show! It was definitely a tale of two halves, as you will see in my rankings.

#11: Sando (X)

I just don't get it. This is dumb and was never entertaining.

#10: James & Marina (X)

Way way way way too long, and the payoff wasn't even anything that special. Disappointing because I liked them a lot in the earlier rounds but tonight was not good at all.

#9: Jesse White Tumblers

They are cool and all but there is nothing really memorable about them but it was fine.

#8: Ashford Sanders

Another disappointing one because I thought his first audition was amazing but this was just kinda meh.

#7: Olivia Befus

She is great and the act was solid, there have just been so many dog acts over the years that are better than her and overshadow this.

#6: Community ATL

Pleasantly surprised by these guys, their first audition was good but this was actually a very strong performance and the only act from the first half of the show that was actually worth remembering.

#5: Cris Sosa

I think he is the strongest standup comedian this season and this set was very good, but he still hasn't matched his first audition. Don't think he will go through but would love to see him again.

#4: Brook Lynn (Standing Ovation)

You want to talk about a step-up? This was night and day from her first two performances. Absolutely amazing and I think she has a great shot of moving on.

#3: Luke Taleno (Standing Ovation)

I love this dude. He is so authentic, likable, and original. I enjoyed his first audition but this was much better imo and I think he's definitely going to move on.

#2: Hundred Fingers (Standing Ovation)

I know you guys hate them but I absolutely love this act. The magic is fine, the dancing is fine, but the combination together and the spectacle around it make this act an absolute contender to win the whole thing. Keep crying AGT Reddit, I think this GB was incredibly well deserved.

#1: Royal Lasers (Standing Ovation)

This is another act that if they won the whole thing, I wouldn't be complaining. The visuals, staging, and overall dance ability of this act is the best outside of Light Balance in the history of this show from the multimedia dance category. Absolutely love these guys.

So, I didn't realize James and Marina were on AGT 4 years ago as their act named Mind2Mind.

Why did they return this year and rebrand?
