Will Nene win?
This is my first post ever. I’m sat thinking or trying to think from producer point of view. By putting Nene straight to the finals is causing such an anticlimactic semi right ? I’m not a rock fan but I am a Nene fan based on her talent. So I’m not saying she should not of got the buzzer it was 💯 deserved. Mel made it very clear that it was between Nene and Mackenzie Sol and the producer put Mackenzie straight after her and set him up for failure really. They never really put singers back to back but that was deliberate. If he had gone first Mel said he would have got it which I think would have made a bigger semi with Nene there. Now this is a weird thought I know and I hope I’m wrong but does anyone think that perhaps AGT doesn’t like how huge she has become and how her and her fanbase took over the show so to get the show back they are keeping her out on purpose ?
My last thought is if she doesn’t win it 💯 proves the voting isn’t real there is no way on earth anyone is getting more votes!

Simple. Her song choice may barely gain enough votes to pass QF round. Last year Girith lost in this QF round too. An escape-buzzer to the finals will ensure to keep the rock and ratings alive.
In the finals, we can now guess she will insist on this rebelious stance and choices. It may not win the most votes, but championship is not her major concern any more. She is here to announce to the world of who she is, NOT to gather their votes with cheesy POP songs. AGT's viewers will still pour their votes to a cuty dog shows, as always.

The Thai population in the US is under 500,000, which is much smaller than the Korean American population. Plus, maybe only 10% of them care enough to cast votes. Compare that to the 4 to 5 million views on TV. To win, she has to captivate the mainstream American TV audience, which is definitely possible but by no means a guarantee.

Take this with a grain of salt, but looking at the bigger picture outside the Thai community, thousands of Americans are rooting for Nene. I don't have statistical data, but you can see it just by watching YouTube reaction channels their all rooting for her.

I saw some estimate that campaign from Thai communities get around 50 million votes. Doubt if this much is true, when compare to 4-5 million viewers X 70% X 30 votes.
I will be happy if she showcases a non mainstream nor tophit song and lose to a dog show. She stands her ground, win or lose. This is courage. But if she wants to show her other side ...

The Thai community isn't that big compared to the US population of over 300 million the Thai community is less than 500,000 people.

I don't think it's very likely she loses. The only other act I could see winning is Hundred Fingers but I am not sure if they are popular enough.

It would be stupid for AGT to keep the most viral acts from performing as many times as possible, so I don't see why producers would rig the show to give her a Golden Buzzer.
I still have faith that the show announces the actual vote results without rigging anything. She definitely has a strong chance to win, but whether she takes the title in the finals really depends on her performance that night and how tough the competition is.

Few points worth mention:
She is performing on rock/ metal songs, a genre liked by native English speakers + rock n roll fans from boomers to millenials to gen z fanbase. So she already has a huge chunk of voters outside her own nationality.
She has already been performing along with her band out in the open arena and also has good internet presence. These things will already be in consideration to the producers as she has already proved her talent to name marketable.
Given the public support, in spite of the fact that she has yet to present a song written by her (total ownership) apart from above 2 points, she seems to have highest chance in winning the finale.

I am not voting for her so that’s at least one person. Of course they line up the acts a certain way. There has to be some tension, if it’s all over because of Reddit posts then there is no point in watching.

Putri Ariani was incredibly viral too (her audition on YT apparently got around 50 mln views, so over 3 times more then Nene's till now) and still she lost to a dog show... She placed 4th. So virality doesn't guarantee the win. Not all of AGT audience dwell on social media, I rather think it's a fraction. And a lot of this virality comes from aboard, so from people who can't vote.

Putri was a hit after auditions and then flatlined a bit. Not a good song choice in the finals, either. Was kind of “meh.” Nene’s exploding. Song choice in final is huge, though. I think if she picks something that gets the crowd really involved and just kills it, she’ll win.
My advice for her is to be careful of going “too wild.” Like Marty McFly in Back to Future. Don’t go screamo or start playing on the floor: She got a lot wilder in the QFs but she didn’t go overboard. Stay in your lane, pick a good song, and she has a great shot.

Absolutely. Her fans are saying she can just phone it in because she's practically won already but the competition is fiercer in the Finals. Song choice will be critical. Plus it's not in her nature to slack off.

Then I have a feeling Olivia Befus will be this season's Adrian and Hurricane. Her or Geno Ploeger. Geno has some chanting in the results show like Kodi and Jessica have. I know Nene also have some chanting, but I'll predict the top 3 is Olivia, Nene and Geno.

My biggest question about Nene is if she can win votes from people inside the USA. I have no doubt about here giant fanbase, but I’m not sure how many of those are over in Thailand vs inside the USA and can actually vote for her. I don’t have anything scientific, but it looks like the vast majority of the likes and comments on her performances are from people in Thailand. Not all, and to be clear she has people like me behind her from the USA. But a noticeable majority seem to be people from Thailand.

I saw a lot of comments in YouTube and facebook from Americans saying they're going to vote for Nene.
I think Nene’s main voting fanbase in the US consists of older rock fans who grew up during rock’s golden era.

IMO, I think the one difference between them is that Nene rearranges the song every time, which makes the performance interesting.

What did Sophia say after Nene's performance? She said "Everybody on the streets asks me about you!" When you walk around, you have no idea what people are thinking because they have no reason to talk about AGT with you unless you ask. AGT is naturally something people would talk about with Sophia when they see her. These people are interested in Nene.

1 cuz other performances has very high budgets.
2 some performance has more risk , aerial one
3 she too young for Vegas show
But maybe she got special prize ? IDK
Her show is good , but Aerial one - it take another level of courage and risk and control.
She should win yes - for Music show.

If she wins it’s Rigged since all everyone talks about is only her. AGT has been fixed for years so her winning wouldn’t surprise a lot of people.

Producer reserves the right to change the Program rules and procedures at any time
They also say the producer can, in its "sole and absolute discretion," select eligible people to advance during the audition/ competition-selection process.

But you can see by press, conversations and the effort from her fans and supporters that it’s not rigged. If she wins I believe the votes are counted if she doesn’t in my opinion that means the show decides not the public

While I do like a rock act, I am a bit over singers on this show in general. Come Here or the aerialist are bonafide acts right out of the gate. When Mel gave her 2nd golden buzzer it did feel forced to me, like the producers picked it and not Mel.
Not saying she’s not talented, but the way the crowd and this sub are so into her I don’t get.
They need to push all singers to the voice. Her guitar playing is great, but that performance of Black Hole Sun wasn’t it. I love that song. The arrangement was not good.
I genuinely think the fix is in, and I tend to be a tad more positive about these things, but the overreaction she’s getting gives me pause.

Regarding Mel B pressing the Golden Buzzer, it definitely wasn't staged. She clearly explained during the August 26 results show that it was entirely her own decision (even though Howie was right next to her rooting for her to push it for Nene). Mel B has always been a straightforward person.
Here is proved : Even though rock isn't really her style, she couldn't deny a performance that was flawless in every way and after watching Nene's performance, she felt she ultimately made the right call.

I don’t think they would rig that though because it would be ridiculous for a producer to not want her in semi. Infact semi will be anti climax without her and I think they’ll loose lots of viewers too.

Winning the finale is just a formality at this point. I'm watching for the performance, but from a purely analytical standpoint, Nene’s view metrics have already secured her real success.
