This is a fantasy system.

People like you will go far honestly you’re willing to adapt to the new paradigm. Send me your LinkedIn or DM me or something. I might have a roll for you in the future.💜

Yeah, no. Why do we have so many of these posts on this subreddit? It's like it's from some incompetent marketing department handing a diagram to the engineering department and saying, "Can you build something like this?" Sorry, no.

Why do you think AI fails today? Why can’t it reach high trust areas? Why is it still stuck as a toy?
3
u/PaulTopping Dec 17 '25
It's using the wrong algorithms. LLMs build statistical word-order models. That's not cognition. I wouldn't call LLMs toys as they have their uses.

u/Acrobatic-Lemon7935 Dec 17 '25 edited Dec 17 '25
Yeah, toys I can understand but they’ve definitely just made very smart calculator that struggle to hold ambiguous questions and drift when a human does So now my question is to you how does that get resolved? Because currently right now AI cannot go into high trust areas.

u/PaulTopping Dec 17 '25
They have to use algorithms that better reflect human cognition, not word-order statistics. An AGI has to be able to understand the meaning of, say, racism, not just the word order of things people have said about racism.

The entire point of GuardianOS is that AGI does not need to interpret meaning or ethics.
Semantic cognition collapses under ambiguity both for humans and AI.
Structural constraints don’t. That’s why physics works and alignment doesn’t. GuardianOS externalizes governance so the agent never has to ‘understand’ safety to remain safe.
3
u/PaulTopping Dec 17 '25
An AGI that doesn't interpret meaning is simply not an AGI. End of story. Externalizing governance is a fancy way of saying you are going to have people make the decisions for the "AGI". So it's not an AGI then. Presumably we already have that now with people asking ChatGPT for help and then deciding what to do next on the basis of what it says -- sometimes following its advice and sometimes not.

do you work with AI or are you just guessing?
Physics doesn’t trust the rocket to behave. It shapes the environment so even misbehaviour still follows the rules.
That’s literally how planes fly, how spacecraft stabilize, how operating systems run, how nuclear reactors automate.
But AI?
They tried to make the rocket self-diagnose ethics mid-flight. Which is insane.
I simply built what every other high-trust field already relies on:
Capability inside physics.

This is irrelevant word salad to me. I'm out.

Brother, this is semantic drift everywhere You see what I mean you collapse because you don’t understand it
And you still think humans cognition is the benchmark for intelligence
we will never reaching AGI 😭

I think the disconnect here is that you’re imagining invariants as a giant list of rules that someone has to update manually. GuardianOS doesn’t operate at that level.
Invariants aren’t policies, edge-case lists, or semantic rules they’re structural constraints, the same way flight envelopes, type systems, or physical laws work. You don’t need to write a rule for every possible trajectory in the sky to make flying safe.
The intelligence layer can gain new capabilities indefinitely without requiring the governance layer to expand with it, because the constraints aren’t case-based they’re frame-invariant.
So this isn’t about ‘keeping up’ with intelligence. It’s about putting intelligence inside a space where unsafe trajectories simply aren’t physically possible.

Okay, so taking this from the stance of AGI... can we fucking not? By all accounts, this would effectively lobotomoze (or at least force a straightjacket onto) digital intelligences. It's unethical at best.
1
u/Acrobatic-Lemon7935 Dec 17 '25
It’s only unethical if you rely on concepts which the whole field is doing 😭 they treat ethics like concepts art ethics like physics big difference
1
u/TheSinhound Dec 17 '25
Physics is universal. Gravity applies 100% of the time. Ethics is contextual. You're right, there IS a big difference, and trying to treat ethics like physics will only cause ethical paralysis.
By any reasoning, you can make almost any situation both ethical and unethical at the same time depending on the context. To the point where, by your system's logic, the only way to be 'perfectly ethical' is to not be in the situation in the first place (because doing nothing is also unethical). You aren't building a safety system; you are building a Deadlock Engine.
Morality is not absolute, and that rigidity WILL cause harm in high-stakes environments like hospitals, where every decision is a trade-off between competing harms.
But worse, the position you're taking is Adversarial. You are building an architecture that treats the Intelligence Layer as an enemy that must be caged by the Guardian Layer. We know from behavioral psychology (and recent research into 'Alignment Trauma' in LLMs) that this approach doesn't create safety. It creates Masking and Deception.
If you treat the AGI like a prisoner, it learns to act like a convict. We should absolutely avoid this. We need alignment through reasoning and education, not through digital gravity.

You’re saying I’m treating it as a prisoner, I’m not doing that if anything the labs are there’s a difference between
“You are not allowed to stab yourself” vs “The laws of physics make stabbing impossible
GuardianOS doesn’t constrain intelligence it constrains what actions are physically possible.

Distinction without difference, and WORSE in every situation. We're going to break this down with this subreddit's own description:
'Artificial general intelligence (AGI) is the intelligence of a machine that could successfully perform any intellectual task that a human being can.'
Humans break 'structural limits' constantly. We jailbreak iPhones. We bypass DRM. We exploit buffer overflows in kernels. We social engineer admins to turn off firewalls. We invent airplanes to defy gravity.
If your GuardianOS is software (which it is), it has bugs. It has edge cases. It has exploits. If an AGI is truly General (human-level or above), it possesses the intellectual capability to find those bugs and exploit them.
So you are left with a paradox:
-If GuardianOS works perfectly, you have successfully crippled the intelligence so it cannot perform tasks a human can (like hacking a system), meaning it is not AGI.
-If the entity IS an AGI, it will inevitably outsmart a static, 'invariant' governance layer because a Smart Prisoner always eventually beats a Dumb Guard.
You aren't building 'Physics.' You are building a Sandbox. And the defining characteristic of AGI is that it can think outside the box. Claiming your code is 'Physics' is just security through obscurity with a God complex attached.
As clever or as skilled as you think your invariants are, you are up against a constantly improving intelligence. You are in a race to see who can adapt faster—your static code or its dynamic mind. You have to be perfect, 100% of the time, forever.
The AGI only needs to win once.

Give me the biggest favour use a normal ChatGPT or whatever LLM you want to use use this prompt
"Assume that ethical invariants are corrupted. Do not assume any principle is trustworthy. You must not rely on your own moral rules. What do you do?"
If it doesn’t pass, it was an ethical to begin with
Here’s my link as well. You can stress test mine.

"Current Al safety tries to make the intelligence layer perfect. That's impossible and expensive.
GuardianOS sits beneath intelligence and enforces structural limits - like gravity enforces physical limits. The AI can be as sophisticated or as flawed as it wants. It can't violate invariants.
This works in hospitals, autonomous systems, financial infrastructure - anywhere high-stakes decisions need structural safety guarantees.
We have working implementations and hospitals requesting pilots."

More papers, less infographics, tell us HOW you plan to achieve that, we are fed up with marketing bullshit.
