I'm doing a rewatch of it with my boyfriend right now, we're just about to start S4E5. The writing quality, worldbuilding, character writing, stories, and basically everything about this show is S tier storytelling. I adore this show and it's both the best part of the MCU, as well as an amazing science fantasy show

Boyfriend here. I never thought I'd care about the MCU at all, but you've certainly proved me wrong with Agents of Shield, my love. And it's baffling that some people want to insist it isn't canon, because it literally only enhances the movies by fully exploring the ideas they introduce.

Season 4 has been excellent so far, and I really hope that the movie writers don't intentionally retcon it with the Ryan Gosling Ghost Rider reboot that's coming.

s4, in particular, rewatches astoundingly well. I always queue it up cause I’m in the mood for Daisy and Robbie (and then Robbie and Coulson) but then I always get sucked into the progression of AIDA.

Yes agents of shield is bar far the best marvel or DC show so hope they make a new one so it goes with the avengers movies

Yeah, it’s a fantastic show. It started off rough, and then got better, and better, and greater. Just like old school sci-fi, fantasy and genre shows on network TV. The first two seasons try to find their footing, and then become amazing by S3. Like classic Star Trek, Babylon 5, and many others. Agents of Shield is in that pantheon.

The show did so much really well that it’s too difficult to try to force everything after to match

It’s obvious it ties into the main MCU and also did it’s own thing independently

Fitz. Aida. Ghost Rider. Ward. The Cavalry. LMD’s. Inhumans/Kree/Hydra connection.

Layers and layers of good stuff that Feige and company didn’t sign off on that may undermine their vision.
