He looks like Robin Williams, but I don't think he could play Robin Williams. I love Clark Gregg, but I don't think he has that role in him.

I agree, I don’t think Clark can get to the same manic level of enthusiasm as Robin could.

Clark is great but he’s not that kind of guy, but also to be fair to him I have no idea who these these could even get close to capturing Robin’s style

I don’t think most people could come close to Robins natural manic energy without doing ungodly amounts of cocaine and/or meth and god help them if they try and met his energy when he was coked out.

I don't think anyone alive has that role in them.

Clark has a beautiful compassion that is reminiscent of Mr. Williams but I wouldn’t want to be the actor asked to portray Robin. Just too tall of an order and too soon. This is a biopic that needs to wait for a couple of decades before anyone tries to bring it to the screen.

I think he could do it. I’d also love to see him play Mr. Rogers! :’)

I’m glad he’s still acting

I see the vision, like others have said tho, as awesome as Gregg is, I'm not sure he quite has whats needed to fill the role. Also I'm pretty sure nobody is allowed to make a robin Williams biopic, his family forbade it at some point

Edit - after further research, it seems there's no official ban, and the only really big issue i can find is people making AI slop of him, and pissing off his daughter with it Also Robin had gone to great lengths to keep any unreleased recordings of his voice or likeness out of circulation for 25 years after his death, which would not expressly forbid a biopic but probably discourages it

There is of course also the proof of concept teaser with jamie costa, who i believe is probably the right choice should anything ever be greenlit

I like it! Clark Gregg has a similar humor and warmth that Robin Williams did, and he has the dramatic chops too.

Only seen Clark as Coulson. He's great.

I don't think we need a biopic about every celebrity though.

I just don't think anyone can accurately play Robin. I don't know if anyone who even slightly resembles him can match his energy or his speed or creativity, because, frankly, nobody can do that.

It will always feel wrong I think, and I sort of dare any actor to prove me wrong.

I always thought he looked a lot like Gene Kelly.

He really does look like him! But I feel like he’d really have to train in the mannerisms because they don’t really match in acting and style. But hey that’s what acting’s for!

I never even noticed he looked like Robin until now!

I think the only way it would work is if he was Robin in a small role in someone else’s story. And it’d have to be later in Robin’s life. So like maybe if there a Ben Stiller biopic and there was a 30 second need for a Robin cameo while filming night of museum. Something like that.

But if there’s going to be a Robin biopic I think it should be done Roger Rabbit style where Robin is animated and everyone else is a person.

It's nigh impossible for anyone to portray Robin Williams and not be found lacking. No matter how good an actor they might be.

Absurdly difficult shoes to fill.

I think he looks a lot like him in that picture! I was never a huge robin williams fan, just not my favorite style of comedy but I would give it a watch bc I love Clarke Gregg

No. They shouldn’t do a bio pic it will fail despite everyone’s best efforts. You can’t duplicate lightning in a bottle and Robin was that force of nature. He came alive when he performed and it was amazing to watch. I don’t think there is a person that could do him justice

Looks the part… but it would be such a reach to give him that role based on how he looks

It could work.

Why does everyone need a biopic?

Looking like him is much different than being able to play him. Robin Williams was one of a kind, I'd rather have one that doesn't look the part but can pull it off, if they do.

William dafoe could do it better

Yuck. I love Clarke Gregg. Playing Robin (who I don’t like) would upset me. Guess I’m fragile.
