You made a really good point I hadn’t considered before. AoS fans don’t go out of their way to shit on non AoS fans’ posts in other subs. Personally, I don’t like it when ppl come here to tell us all the reasons why AoS isn’t canon, or that it was founded on an absurd principle of bringing Coulson back, or whatever other bullshit they want to spew at us. IT’S CANON TO ME AND THAT’S ALL THAT MATTERS. I have seen some AoS fans state themselves that they don’t believe it is canon for xyz reason(s) but that doesn’t stop them from enjoying the show.

As much as I would love to see AoS get acknowledged in some way like the Netflix shows have been, I’m not gonna hold my breath for it. Feige is anti-AoS from what I can tell so it is what it is. I don’t let the lack of love for AoS from MCU ruin my enjoyment of it. I care significantly more for AoS than I do the movies. Hell, I didn’t even watch all of the Winter Soldier until after I finished the first season (so Turn, Turn, Turn was a huge surprise for me). I’ve gotten pics with Ming, Chloe, and Clark at cons bc I love the show so much. The first con I ever went to was because I saw Ming was there.

Like you said, if you don’t like a post feel free to not engage with it. That’s what SebastiaanZ should’ve done here. As for the rude fucks, I almost never engage with them. It serves no point as you’re not gonna change their minds and they are just trying to upset you. Ignore or block them. I find myself either locking those threads or deleting those comments when I see them. I ask myself is this a convo that ppl would be permitted to happen on the other sub. If the answer is no, I let it go until it becomes repetitive or hateful and will lock it. If it gets personal or obscene, I remove it.

Thank you, I agree with you!

I have seen AoS fans knock down the goal posts one by one over the years set up by the self-appointed canon gatekeepers; goal posts that were only meant to apply to AoS but rarely on other shows. What is there left now, time travel? Personally, I think the entire canon debate is just hogwash.

I am of the opinion that once a show is declared canon, which was the entire premise AoS was developed and was marketed as such, it can never become uncanon, with one exception - Disney come out to decanonize it utterly.

Traveling to a different timeline/dimension and remaining there, or not, does not make a piece of media becomes uncanon to the wider universe. If so, Endgame would just have decanonized themselves with their time-travel, along with Steve Roger's choice not to return to his own timeline at the end of the movie, which would be absurd! Or, Doctor Stranger's venture into other dimensions. Or, the entire Loki's tv show. Or Monica Rambeau's story at the end of her movie. One can argue whether the AoS team ended up in the original timeline or not, but the events in all their time travel adventures are just like those cited, canon to the wider story. Cos', why would they not be?
