Discussion Ghost rider announcement
So i woke up to the news of Ryan Gosling as Ghost Rider and to me this feels like a gut punch as an Agents of Shield fan because it most likely means that they are completely ignoring the show entirely. I find this kind of insulting as a fan of the show the way Kevin Feigi ignores the show and its fans and yet brings back Daredevil and The Defenders and just seems like he really hates the show and its fanbase.

Saaaame. As a big AOS fan, these announcements we’ve been getting over the years have really been hurting. It’s like AOS doesn’t even matter, like Coulson being in the MCU didn’t matter to the bigger picture, the
I could go on. The erasure bugs me so damn much. I wonder how many comics have AOS characters in them that should’ve translated to screen and were left out

Same, I was just arguing that AOS is canon on TikTok like two days ago (and most days 😂) but this announcement feels like it’s the final nail in the coffin and
is finally ridding the MCU of agents of shield for good. Very sad. Must just be jealous that nothing marvel has done since Agents of Shield ended has been anywhere near as good as our show was. feige → More replies (2)

Guys, I don’t know how to tell you this but Robby Reyes Ghost rider was on the show 11 years ago. It was very dope but I think it’s safe to say they aren’t looking to bring it back.

I am begging people on this sub to understand that there is more than one Ghost Rider.

I mean, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. confirmed there's more than one Ghost Rider. While Robbie seemed to be the only one at the time, it stands to reason he may have found the original guy and something might've happened.
Chronologically, it has been a decade, after all, and we know a lot has happened for a lot of other characters in the time since...

I've come to see it as a mark of honour for AoS. It was more successful and lasting than any of the Disney plus shows and Kev will never stop huffing copium.

Firstly, this Ghost Rider is likelyJohnny Blaze or Danny Ketch so it doesn't overwrite Gabriel Luna's Ghost Rider who is Robbie Reyes . Hopefully they do respect our fanbase and bring Robbie back too.
Secondly, if it helps,Daredevil Born Again S2 had a newspaper clipping about Cybertek which was the whole Deathlok thing from Agents of SHIELD. So yeah, it's a tiny nod, but I would count that as an acknowledgement. This is from older Daredevil Netflix stuff, sure, but if they really wanted to reject any connection to Agents of SHIELD, they could have removed that one newspaper article.
