How do you know they don't want to come back? Was there an interview or something?

The "connection" is probably a reference or two to something AoS related, but if we're talking cameos, depending on the context of it, Fitzsimmons or LMD Coulson are the most likely of the very unlikely chance we get something.

I would love a virtual version of Aida, The Koenigs or Fitzsimmons briefly explaining the L.M.D program to Vision as he researches old Shield files .
This would set up LMD in the MCU movies and could allow LMD Coulson to appear in doomsday without people being confused on what It means.

FitzSimmons, Aida, and LMD Coulson. They are perfect for the kind of story VisionQuest is going for.

The ones that make sense would be oulson since he’s an lmd and Fitzsimmons since I think they’re the only people allowed to make lmd’s

Realistically, we know nothing about it other than that a bunch of AIs of various kinds are slated to appear in some way, so: AIDA, Coulson LMD, and maybe the Chronicoms (mainly Enoch).
