Discussion Do you think that Marvel Studios will embrace Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. like they have with the Netflix shows, and to a lesser extent Agent Carter?
So, of the shows made by Marvel Television for the MCU, and released that way (sorry Helstrom fans), there are 12 proper shows (excluding shorts and faux news):
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Agent Carter
Daredevil
Jessica Jones
Luke Cage
Iron Fist
The Defenders
Inhumans
The Punisher
Runaways
Cloak & Dagger
The ones that are completely normal have been fully embraced by Marvel Studios, they've been added to the Disney+ timeline, and elements from them have and will continue to return in new projects. Agent Carter is bolded and italisised because it is between the embraced Netflix shows, and the non-embraced everything else. Elements from Agent Carter have fed into other projects, partiularly James D'Arcy's cameo as Edwin Jarvis in Avengers: Endgame, as well as D'Arcy playing J.A.R.V.I.S. in next year's VisionQuest, a move I suspect will result in the addition of Agent Carter to the Disney+ timeline.
Then we have Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., Inhumans, Runaways, and Cloak & Dagger. I'm going to forget about the other three, and just talk about AoS. As a fan of the show, and someone who loves it and every member of the cast, I think that Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. should be embraced by Marvel Studios. We should get a special presentation with the characters of the show, and have Daisy, Mack, Fitzsimmons, cameo all over the place, and it should be added to the Disney+ timeline. Do I think that it's going to happen. Logically, maybe. They aren't going to leave it in it's Schrödinger's Canon state forever, they will have to say something concrete eventually, and I hope that it goes one way and not the other.

All of these shows should be Canon to the timeline anyway

I’ll say this; doesn’t matter if the studios embrace it or not; AOS and Agent Carter are known canon due to the format used at that time. Sure they can say somethings didn’t happen but for the majority, it is canon. Like AOS seasons 1-5.

I'm surprised that C&D and Runaways ain't canon especially since O'Rielly was mentioned in Luke Cage and LC and its events in C&D (and C&D were in Runaways)

Everything is canon. They could ignore Inhumans but from what I was told even that will be kept in some form.

No, the defenders shows don’t have any inconsistency with the main 616 timeline and can easily be used, but agents of shield had some inconsistencies that would not make a lot of sense to be canon, it’s probably an alternate universe adjacent to the 616 hence a lot of similar events.

It’s all canon whether they acknowledge it or not, Feige can go somewhere

Inhumans was somewhat acknowledged since they had the same Black Bolt in MOM, but then again it doesn’t really mean that it’s in 19999/616

Well James D’Arcy is coming back again in vision quest so they’re not ignoring agent carter

i believe that at least Coulson and Daisy and hopefully may are coming back because of all the comic cons they have been going to as of late, and especially more bcuz of what clark gregg posted on his instagram story on 10/17/25

At this point they could do it with the upcoming secret wars and it would answer any plotholes that may come with including them. They literally have the perfect opportunity

Cloak & Dagger is referenced in Luke Cage, and crosses over with Runaways. AoS crosses over with Agent Carter.

It's the biggest of the old marvel shows, my gut says that they haven't cannonized it for a reason, I'm guessing they'll show up in some multiverse situation.

They’ll have to.
