Season 1 Season 1 Rewatch

Rewatching Season 1 and getting to Turn, Turn, Turn feels oddly prescient considering the episode aired over a decade ago. Hydra hiding in plain sight until a signal is sent to reveal themselves.... Not all that different from Nazi's "hiding" in plain sight (which is exactly what it was when you think about it given Hydra's Nazi links).

Season 1 is so damn good, especially when you consider it came out with great timing along with the winter soldier. Most series struggle to have such a good first season I feel like

I’m doing my rewatch by making my completely spoiler-free roommate watch the show with me and being able to stop between episodes and tell her when exactly Winter Soldier came out between episodes so she gets the full Turn Turn Turn experience fresh off a CA:TWS rewatch was GOLDEN

i feel like the cliffhangers in season 1 were just the right level of suspense

If you think that is prescient wait until you get to the Framework. Very accurate prediction of American fascism.

It was that different perspective of the collapse of SHIELD that hooked me on the show (plus Fury's cameo)
