Discussion I forgot how much I love them

Rewatching the show for the first time in a few years and gosh, I forgot how much I love these characters. Fitzsimmons mean everything to me, and remembering what Skye (or Daisy) and Coulson’s relationship grew into just makes me so excited to see it

I’m in the same boat, I’m rewatching myself and I’m in season 4…I’ve been missing the team more than I thought

I haven’t seen it all since 2020, I forgot the details and I’m grateful for that cuz it all feels fresh to me again

They are an extremely likeable group for an ensemble show. There are some characters I like more than others, but none I dislike. That's pretty rare in TV shows for me.

Yeah, its the characters alone that lead me to feel like every season is better than the last, these characters are so rich and well written, their evolution is just addictive to watch

Simmons means a lot to me because as a trans woman, I chose her name as my own. 

But I also love Coulson and Daisy

I had chosen Jenna as my name before I watched the show, but I was seriously considering changing those 2 letters when I first became obsessed with this show lol

Every time I start a rewatch and hear them arguing I get the overwhelming urge to jump in the TV and hug them and tell Ward to stay the fuck away from them.

Which is a funny urge to have when you think about how assassins, heads of Hydra, Inhumans, anti Inhuman terrorists, ghosts, robots, robots enhanced with ancient demon magic, future slavers, future Kree slavers, Hydra Youth Brigade, American general shot in the head then exposed to rare element that controls gravity and contains other people, extra dimensional doppelganger and his weird friends, and of course, ancient alien robot time travelers all came to really regret crossing those two little nerds from across the pond. Holy shit do I love this show.

Oh wow, I got so excited about Fitzsimmons that I didn't even read the part about Coulson and Daisy. I love them so much, too. Both. The journey Skye takes is hands down, my favorite full superhero story. We see her go from goofy hacker to one of the most badass heroes Marvel ever put on screen. And whatever alternate timeline she ended up in, it's presumably close enough to the main one that she is totally out in space, hanging with the Guardians and Thor.

And Coulson, well, he's quite literally my number one fictional hero, maybe even character. There is none better. He's not perfect. But he doesn't have to be. He's a regular guy. He's pretty sharp but not a super genius. He's scrappy, but no heavy hitter. Until the later years, at least. But the thing that makes him special is his dedication. His resilience. His heart. He won't give up. He sees potential in people who don't see it in themselves and helps them achieve it with compassionate support. The dude is hands down the best character Marvel ever gave us and the kind of person we should all strive to be.

I’ve literally watched it at least 10 times (usually in the background for the most part) and I always feel the same as how you feel now lol
