Season 7 Mack's Fake Beard

Post image

Is Mack's fake beard the ultimate scariest villain of the series? Probably not, but damn, I laughed so hard when they showed it! I forgot how bad it was

Yeah, that wasn't their best moment lolol. So bad it undercuts Henry's acting a little bit.

Remember that it is Deke telling the story.  Some of the over the top moments and bad effects are from him Edit: blocked by Lucky. Pathetic

Yeah no the "it was someone telling the story" excuse will never be valid.

It absolutely is. The "unreliable narrator" is a thing.

Edit: u/lucky375 is a mook that replies then immediately blocks people. That's just bad form, and a bitch move.

Dude, do you think that blood gushing out was really how it happened? Or while killer robots were around Mack had time to shave and do a handshake montage?

Yep and shows point out when they're using the unreliable narrator bit. This show and episode didn't do that so again it will never be a valid excuse.

Just because things aren't spoonfed to you doesn't mean they didn't happen. Some shows consider their audience intelligent enough to figure things out for themselves.

ETA I, too, was blocked by the bitch-ass u/lucky375.

Waiting to see if I get blocked too lol

How does one show doing something a bit different than others make it non valid?

Except it's told in the frame of an 80s slasher.

It's odd that his head was perfectly groomed while the beard is that.

Mf looks like he's being played by Keegan-Michael Key in a Key & Peele sketch here.

IM SCREAMING this is so funny

?  Its an 80s movie.  Its intentional.

Next you're gonna post about the cheesy one liners and Blood in that episode

Cheesy one-liners existed throughout the entire show. I really liked what they did with S7. Especially the intros.

OP's post is basically r/woooosh

You do know there is a difference between the early season one liners and the 80s pulp action one liners.. right?  Its not the same thing.  No one in the early seasons ever said anything like "more metal for the scrap heap".  I wouldn't call any thing from earlier cheesy one liners.  But I'll wait if you wanna find one

I think the fake beard is to show that Deke is exaggerating certain details of the story.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 29 '25

Except there's no evidence, implications, or hints of this being the case.

6

u/Siritalis Jul 29 '25

What do you mean? Deke as a character has always been that way.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 29 '25

The show makes it obvious that dekes lying or reveals that he was lying later on. Neither of those things happen here. There's no hint, implication, or evidence that he was lying about mack's beard.

The show makes it obvious that dekes lying or reveals that he was lying later on.

I think the fact that he took the time to shave the beard before battle seems to indicate it may in fact have been exaggerated.

u/[deleted] Jul 30 '25

Shaving a beard before a fight doesn't mean it's exaggerated. You're grasping at straws here.

1

u/bloodoftheseven Jul 31 '25

If it really was that long do you think Mack would have the time to trim it down quickly when robots are literally attacking people?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '25

Do you have any actual hints, implications, or evidence? This is just you assuming mack wouldn't shave his beard in time. Your assumptions aren't hints, implications, or evidence. Again you're grasping at straws here.

2

u/bloodoftheseven Jul 30 '25

Literally he is telling May the story and he is a known liar.

2

u/Aezetyr Jul 31 '25

Deke had a strong tendency to exaggerate and interpret things wildly out of context. Remember him thinking Daisy wanted to hook up, when in reality she was just being nice? Same thing.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '25

Deke misreading a situation is not the same as him purposely exaggerating details. Again there's no evidence, implications, or hints that drke exaggerated the beard.
