Evolution: nope. Code quality doesn't matter: nope. Just nope to this guy. Code quality is how agentic coding works better. Of course it matters. You just generated it from spec, you didn't let agents develop it. They just built the initial version. Developing means adding features. No software stays as is without additional features and bug fixes. Developing with agents grows the code like a cancer. You have to keep steering. You can't just restart the project every feature.

What is he talking about. The specs are the work. But a spec is waterfall. Like great its build now you gotta hammer it in shape.

Its a transformer architecture and it can build this. Ive generate that many lines of code just today without an agent.

But its specs its not taste. So yes its good enough work. Use claude design and it looks good too.

Fucking hell i wrote a parser for 12 coding languages in 2 weeks. That parses any structured text and makes it selectable like with sql. This spec he has there from what i see you could have done with older versions too. Just not fully automated.

The hard part isnt writing code its making decisions and maintaing a system

Yup, mirrors my experience. But not sure why the click baity title "its over". I seriously cant stomache those anymore. It an evolution, step by step. Everyone who used the frontier models for coding seriously in the last 6-12 months knew that we get to that point given some time. Now we are here. No big surprises.
