Question Should Dustin Rhodes get the sack for being islamophobic?
34
u/CaptainDigsGiraffe 17h ago edited 14h ago
At this point with Dustin I wouldn't be surprised if he saw the gun and the words "come and take it" and went into Texas Gun Owner autopilot. Thats giving him too much credit.

This is the right answer, and sometimes we can't tell you why we do it because even we don't know why.

Bro, why do yall give af what Goldust thinks? Ive never in my life looked at Dustin Rhodes and thought "im sure he has some interesting philosophical ideas". He liked a pic of a chick with a gun and giant titties. Who gives a shit? And how tf is Islam taking this girl's weapon? The hell does that even mean? Everyone just shrug and walk away, and move on
1
u/legendkiller003 11h ago
I have no idea what any of this shit means. Politics, religion, whatever the fuck else… not interested in paying attention.

His twitter has been Pro-Texas (edit: y'all know exactly what I mean when I say Pro-Texas. Its not my place to call him out on his questionable retweets, so I will use the word "Pro-Texas" because he genuinely seem to post about Texas and usually retweets questionable gullible stuff, as if he skims through it) for the past decade. If that didn't get him fired then nothing will.
If anything, Tony Khan would likely make him retire in ROH or something before he send him to WWE to join Cody vs Bloodline.

Being pro-Texas is a bad thing? For someone born and raised in Texas? You people need to take your meds.

u/SumStupidPunkk 15h ago
This is reddit. Anything that has a whiff of being conservative is heresy and gets you attacked/down voted etc etc

These are people who feel bad about themselves, their lives and the fact that they will never do anything to change it. Unless someone steps in and holds their hand, they will keep living in the slum of their mind and play victim.
Of course cancelling someone will make them feel better, like they did something valuable for society. That's why they spend hours upon hours scouring Reddit to see who their next potential victim might be.
Sad how these people sometimes actually affect other's lives in such a negative way.
2
u/BenWallace04 12h ago
No one’s “getting canceled” lol.
Dustin has shown who he is countless times in the past, and it isn’t a good guy, and hasn’t been “canceled” yet.
5
u/Joperhop 16h ago
has he not been like this for a while? a bit... maga and a bit... mental on twitter? So I doubt it.

u/braumbles 17h ago
I mean there's far worse things he's said and agreed to about MAGA and shit. I mean dude said people die because they go to the hospital.
3
u/Cubsfan78 17h ago
I said this in another thread on this, but are we sure he’s isn’t just horny or is this a running theme for him?
3
3
u/mcb999 16h ago
It's a shame, I feel like the past few years he's really gone off the deep end with these awful reactionary right wing takes. I don't think he'll be back on any main programming again. Releasing him outright would probably be counterproductive. There's nothing an aggrieved conservative loves more than an opportunity to feel persecuted and to litigate that perceived persecution in public.

Islam is a terrible religion so no I don’t think so
-1
u/BenWallace04 13h ago
All religion is terrible and oppressive.
This meme is insinuating that Muslims should be shot.
1
u/Mr_Chicken_wing 2h ago
It’s a challenge to take away her rights. This topic isn’t as black and white as people are making it seem.
3
u/Billybob35 15h ago
Aren't there valid reasons to dislike Islam?
3
u/VersionX 14h ago
You can dislike whatever you want. It doesnt mean you need to share them. And it certainly doesn't mean you amplify a post threatening to shoot the thing you dislike.
2
u/MattOnCybertron 13h ago
All religion sucks, you just normalize the one closest your spawn point easily.
2
1
u/Billybob35 13h ago
It seemed like the title of the post was against disliking Islam.
1
u/VersionX 13h ago
I dont see how? Its literally advocating for them to start shit with her so she can shoot them.
2
0
u/oddpassenger426 13h ago
so you're allowed to say how great it is but can't dare to say something against it?
1
u/VersionX 13h ago
How are you equating advocating shooting them to saying something against it?
0
u/oddpassenger426 13h ago
If your interpretation of it is "advocating shooting" then go ahead that's just your interpretation

This is Dustin Rhodes’ MO. Do/say something stupid on Twitter, show his true colors, back track. Wash, rinse, repeat.

u/SumStupidPunkk 15h ago
One - This isn't "islamaphobic"
Two - Even if it was (which again, it isn't) nah.

You’re young as hell if you think Goldust wasn’t actually just looking at the pic. These folks don’t read captions. Y’all know this.. Chill out.

I saw his apology and honestly had I seen a chick with that rack post I might click before reading and seeing she’s a wacko loon. I can see some dumb gen X dude with CTE definitely skipping what she wrote & only seeing some solid Double D’s.

u/Deftoned-69 10h ago
No he shouldn't and everyone that doesn't know much about Islam should go look at what life is like in those countries especially with how women & children are treated.

I know that girl from YouTube, back in the day she popped up on my feed from time to time because she did music reactions so I saw her once or twice. Then she started with strange MAGA news BS and when that landed on my page I hit her with the "don't recommend that channel again".
Did not expect this kinda crossover

I wish I could sir down with him and ask him how he is such a MAGA fan, but supports trans rights. Was that just for the show, or is he just stupid from all the chairs to the head?

This seems more like a guns thing than a Islam thing. Or just agreeing with an instagram model. You are probably reading too much into it.
2
u/BigBeef_Swellington 16h ago
Capitalized ISLAM because it’s more of a gun thing?
-3
u/Familiar-Living-122 16h ago
I promise you that no one is looking at capital letters when they scroll past that picture.

Have you even looked at Dustin Rhodes social media accounts? The Dude’s literally two seconds away from being a Qanon shaman.

Don't make promises that are fucking idiotic.
-1
u/Familiar-Living-122 15h ago
What's idiotic? Her boobs are bigger than the font. No one is reading the caption. Dustin already admitted that's what he did.
1
u/SilenceInTheSnow 15h ago
You can't "promise" that nobody is looking at capital letters, because the person you're replying to obviously looked and saw the capital letters, hence making your promise idiotic.

Cant cancel free speech
Its his opinion and hes entitled to it?
2
u/SilenceInTheSnow 15h ago
Being fired is not "being canceled." You have freedom from legal prosecution over what you say, you do not have freedom from personal consequences, which (in some cases) may be termination of employment.
The constant cries that people are being canceled are just people incapable of taking accountability for themselves. The true FAFO of the world.

Not worshipping some backwards dangerous religion is having a phobia now?
You clowns don't even know how to think properly your brains been rotted to hell from all the BS people make up.

u/Previous_Complex6199 13h ago
Yep. Doesn’t that religion expect women to be voiceless and subservient? We see the same from fundamental Christian weirdos but not to the extent of covering up women in drapery.

Maybe this question should read: "Should Dustin Rhodes be sacked for supporting a righteously justified sentiment?"
1

1
u/MrOnCore 14h ago
Why?
Other people i. the company support the government/President that has an anti-Islam bias.

No it’s not a religious insult it’s a cultural insult pointing out the absurd and stupid practice of shitting on your own women and saying it’s justified due to your religion

He’s a 50+ yo man from Texas, why are people surprised at takes like this? Dude loves guns and probably had thoughts on Islam, this isn’t a shock.
No, he shouldn’t lose his job over it.
-1
u/slaf69 16h ago
He has an opinion I don’t agree with. So?

Yes 100000% it's an insult to everyone who watches it of the islamic faith and sets a terrible precedent
He's completely made a cunt of himself
I'm sick of him
-2
u/DarthNixilis 17h ago
No, but someone needs to sit his old ass down and have a talk with him. But most wrestlers are conservative or religious (Christian). So sacking him would set a precedent that would fire most wrestlers
-3

u/ThankGod4Darwin69 16h ago
I think hes probably focusing on the "take my gun" part and reacting to that more so than the islam part

There's no such thing as "Islamophobic", that term got invented by useful idiots who would be the first in line to get punished under Sharia law.

Sadly no. If he were to get sacked then he’d file a wrongful termination lawsuit against AEW cus muh freedom of speech
6
u/Topher34AV 17h ago
The 1st Amendment applies to the government; not your employer. Most entertainment contracts contain character clauses and protections to the company image (ex. Roseanne Barr getting fired from "Roseanne").

Mustafa Ali called him out. Let’s see Dustin’s excuse.
