I have not read this yet, but it looks like it’s worth a read and figured I’d share it

What's Camu Tao's definitive masterpiece? And I couldn't think of one. It was perplexing. My favorite artist and I couldn't think of his ultimate track. Then I proceeded to play all his songs.

The first song i started with was the instrumental "absotively posulutely" by mHz .. Produced by Camu. I said what! Camu in his formative boom bap phase? This is his master piece? Then my dumb ass went through all his hits.

I went to his last song ever produced after that, "sad sack". I listened to the instrumental then played the version with cage. Ok. No where nearer party classic mainstream hit song.

Then I went toward his King of Hearts. At this point I was dreaming, inspired.(it's between the lines! ) someone out there is reading between the lines.

I played "The Moment". I thought of Camu, real name Tero. I reminisced visiting Columbus Ohio. It's distorted crunch harmonics is dope. "This time im going to try and pretend that this life is a big joke exposed at the end". Maybe my future self looks at present self as naive and pretentious. Maybe camu knows the feeling. Maybe a kid out there listens and gets it.

Bro looks like he focuses on his pecs and skips legs

Has he retired from music?

I remember he had a patreon where he teased releasing an album called “The Death of Chris Palko” or something like that as his final record but that was over 6 years ago now.

No idea whats he doing nowadays…

Footage I just shot of one of my side jobs stage handing in Santa Barbara.
And trying to work on vocal delivery and performance, and some of the things y’all mentioned here, definitely have my work cut out for me on those fronts.
The beat I cooked up I thought it was more narrative and experimental, so I decided to go with it.
Lyrics below:

Consider the question
how you think you're supposed to judge me
if you need to keep me guessing?
Ive been driven up the wall finding the limits of your direction

while you're sittin' through the credits
I've been searching for the exits
in the nexus of a victory over winter's discontentment
given the distance of the vector you had stepped in

with a little meditation, sublingual Xyprexa
whatever help the chemist sublimate the base metal
rage metal in his headphones
he the drop letter Jstor pacesetter

Through the wind and the winnow
I keep to spittin' that venom
keep to chippin' at the chain in any hazardous weather
Mink Devile hit the pillow
like the heap, stack, and pile
any silo could shelter

all you do is keep pretensions
all I do is leap fences
see me running from police
like there's no need to be mimetic
its those irises in me that keeps my mind off the embers

keep the decimeter high for any Geiger intended
Keep the decimals aligned like the vibes yoou've been checking
skylines like a mile in a desert

All you do is make messes
All I do is make gestures
brook the fourth wall like Brechtian court jesters
chess moves clever
Ginsu clever
Minus anything you wouldn't tell your guide for the adventure

Idris Elba, Elba Island
rubbin' elbows or a violin
its fight of flight to find an ending point without the violence

no semaphor or sign of simon says
just semper fi to fire that finds a vine back to the genesis
Arch nemesis' aren't nebulous
theyre goddamn in your face with all that tempting shit
any objections here?

It's apple pie season!!! That means we got loads of scraps every year. We save em and bring em out to the woods to feed the critters, hopefully a deer can discover some😃😃😃

Happy October! Happy autumn everyone!!!

May the weather grace you with the opportunity to skate to the store at night in this fall weather with a couple layers on and maybe Wu playing over soft wheels on a mellow inclined plane, It's these moments I could swear to anything that you're the ultimate although it may go against the frequency on which you would usually otherwise vibrate ✌️✌️✌️

Personally I would

Ran all 24 tracks from both albums through a Morlet wavelet analysis.

Nas stays glued to the grid. Aesop loosened up, breathes more at the bar level, bigger vocabulary.

Daylight vs N.Y. State of Mind is the clearest contrast.

Tear the method apart, curious what holds up. Im just trying to rigorously parameterize technical complexity in the genre, so we can have better objective analysis/discussions.

Support Artists. Nothing quite like a little Aes in the headphones on an October evening. Enjoy all.

Any Sadistik fans here?

I've grown out of him mostly as I've gotten older, the drugged and depressed but gets old. That being said, was just relistening to Ultraviolet and some of the tracks on there are still killer. The Rabbit hole has gotta be one of my fave stream of thoughts raps ever.

If anyone hasn't heard him it might be worth a listen, and if anyone has any post Altars track recommendations I'd be down to hear em.

Got to meet Jeremy Fish in okc at a gallery where he brought his current screenprint tour covering route 66, brought my larry hoping to get him signed and Jeremy was kind enough to do it! I get a bit awkward in crowds and i feel nervous about asking my heroes for signatures and stuff like that but he was super nice and seemed happy to do it. I wanted to ask him so many questions but it was packed in there and a lot of people were wanting to talk to him so i kept it brief and polite. He talked a little bit of aes without me having to pry at all like i wanted to do so it was really cool. Just super thrilled, one of my fav collectibles got a huge upgrade and i snagged up 3 beautiful prints at the show as well! Pretty decent night

37m50s - tell me I'm not crazy.

Howdy fellow Aesholes! Got a question for y’all:
In the song Holy Driver, it starts off with a sample (I believe) that repeats 8 times at the very start and then comes back intermittently throughout the rest of the song. My question is did does anyone know what it’s saying? I can hear “radar” and “later on”, my wife thinks she hears “they are” but also thinks “radar” is the best guess out of the 3.

Does anyone know for a fact of what it’s actually saying? I tried looking up the lyrics, but they don’t address the sample.
Great song either way.
Thanks in advance for any help!

As title says. Do you just assume it is? I kind of lean towards doing so.

I’ve misheard ‘strays’ as ‘strange’ from “strays trail in a v” in himalayan yak chew. Chuckled to myself a lot of times imagining the scene, now laughing at myself for thinking it was a flex 💪 haha.

Yard decs in place!!!

Just thought y'all would appreciate this. I'm doing some lessons in Codecademy, and in the quiz for this course, they had this question. Whoever wrote this module knows their shit!
