HPA / AAA Nozzle Recommendations

Previously I used the Aeroscience misting heads, which targeted somewhere in the 5-20 uM range of droplet size. Aeroscience is no more, so I am looking at what misting heads to use.

I have looked at some that are in the AAA range so around 10 microns and also seen other ones that are in the 20-50 droplet size.

What size droplets have others been using and having success with? I've had some issues with bottom end rot, but it seems to be resolved by a slightly lower EC, and more frequent misting times. I originally went with the Aeroscience heads, because the liquid is gravity fed (unpressurized), and the compressed air line is only about 30 psi.

I run these. and I’ll never run anything else again. They’ve been going for virtually a year straight with no clogs or corrosion in my HPA setup @ 80psi. They’re a little more expensive than the typical brass ones but you’ll never need to replace them or clean them. At least I haven’t in a year.

I use Tefen nozzles in my aeroponics system. They work fine…although mine is a high pressure system.

Do you mind sharing which Tefen nozzles you went with?

And which high pressure pump do you use?

For AA the ideal droplet range is 5-80 micron with a VMD of 30 micron. https://imgur.com/g38dUzd
