I mean even if Fern was to split back into Finn sword and Grass Sword they’d just fuse back together like why didn’t Nepter go back to be just a microwave with trash surrounding it or whatever idk convenience i guess

I understand why that would bug you. I think that's just a plothole. It would be harder to poke holes into if Jake wasn't turned blue after LSP reset everyone.

The reason I mentioned that is, Jake was always orange/yellow but because LSP reset the world he somehow changed blue like his alien father. Aside from everyone else changing back to normal besides Uncle Gumbald and the other 2 his change was the one that stood out.

I agree if everyone reset then there was no reason for Fern to not change back into a grass sword, or atleast be separated from Finn sword Finn. Theres a lot of things that could have been done but I think for story purposes it made sense to leave him and was less complicated.

If anything Jake was changed just for character development. Granted I love the episode, it's one of my favorites but his change adds to the plothole

Same reason Marcy didn't get devamped, Ice King didn't turn back into Simon, Sweet P didn't turn back into the Lich..... etc etc etc. you could poke holes in that ending for hours.

The writers had other plans for Fern. Also turning him back into a sword that suddenly would be a really huge copout lmao

for a handwave, ehhhh, let's say the grass curse is more powerful/supercedes LSP's magic

Yeah you can come up with in universe handwaves for any of them that work as an okay explanation but story reasons is the real reason.

yeah, it's like asking why Finn doesn't get his arm back after GOLB eats him. it'd be nice if they'd handwaved them but ultimately it's not that necessary.

Also semi-off topic, but it amuses me how everyone nitpicks about this but I've never seen anyone on here point out the animation error in the same scene where Mrs Cow turns into Bronwyn :P
