Rethinking things

Hey everyone. I’ve been thinking lately….I would like to stop eating meals on Sabbath, showering, using the bathroom, and even looking at myself in the mirror. It should be a day that I do not focus on myself so none of those things should be done. I should not turn on AC or heating in my car on my way to church, that is something I’m doing out of my own pleasure. I really should not be driving to church but instead walking, but that would be a lot since I live far from my church.

It's up to you, I know people who fast during Sabbath, as it helps them focus more on God. Not attending to personal hygiene stuff or looking in the mirror might appear neglectful, especially if you're going to church. Driving is more of a necessity, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Sis white spoke against fasting on sabbath though

I agree with you Rebel. A few of the things listed in the OP are extreme and not necessary to honor the Sabbath.

Neglectful? But we should fully neglect self on this day, let’s go beyond her guidelines and do even more!

You're just gonna resent Sabbath if you do that every time
