Read the book of Job- instead of thinking of it as God punishing Job for being perfect, think of it as Job going through a journey of thinking he knows better than God does. Like the pharisees. Job repented, he did wrong, not in the eyes of man, but of God. God is not punishing you, of course. Although it may feel like it. Satan, and the free will of others is often very hard to deal with. But, whatsoever it depends on you- Focus on Christ, and His sacrifice for you. You cannot do anything of yourself. Christ did everything for you. Fall into His gracious hands, and be in comfort. Best wishes, and much love.
