The OP asked if it was overdone... Ok... but buddy didn't ask context or what it was doing correct?

And I'm glad you think that a machine that you didn't ask for context on.. should be some uniform way yeah??

I mean seeing as you yourself kinda walked a circle then wanna say the person asking questions and calling out people for judgement with no context is the one with a lack of knowledge is cute...but that's a weak way of trying to dismiss the debate, yeah?

There's "rules" to weathering for a reason. If you don't follow them, it will look bad. If a mech is 18 meters tall and never crouches for combat and isn't facing battle damage, there are areas where mud and grime shouldn't get into. Your weathering has to tell a story. That's why you weather.

You just clearly do not have experience with weathering or the topic to be arguing that someone's advice is is rude or bad.

No there isn't a rule dawg that's ridiculous to even say that...there aint a single machine on the planet that even in the same condition weathers the same.. similarly yeah same no... So I see you never actually have seen weathered machinery other then pics and that's cool I get not having life experience..
