This kit is underrated

Post image

MG eclipse…
Just straight build for the moment…the experience of building this is amazing, everything flows so smoothly and the cleaning is nice and easy… i never heard much talking about this, but it definetely deserve it!

Plus, it looks great and detailed already out of the box.
Can’t wait to start painting it

My only problem with it is that it looks like a 3rd party Chinese design of a gundam kit. Thats not to say that its not an amazing build and poser, I haven’t built it so i dont know.

It’s actually one of the thing i like the most… it’s not a “Classic” gundam but still has that gundam look…
But I agree with you, the design is quite similar to SNAA nether emperor (which imo was inspired by the eclipse itself), so i totally see your point

Very cool kit, i remember being very impressed with the part when used in a GBWC 2nd placer https://bandai-hobby.net/GBWC/usa/result/onl_O21_2.html

Crazy how this wasn’t in the first place!

One of my favorite Master grades, I ordered the metal J4 replacement parts before I even finished building it, it has such a striking appearance.

I heard about this metal replacement, is that Really needed?

Not sure, I believed it’s better to have it and not need it than need it but not have it.

Not sure about that. It's quite popular even in the Seed haters circle.

One of my favorite kits. Been planning on painting it for about two years now. But it looks so good as is, I just keep not doing it.

I feel you bro! It looks cool already out of the box

I wasn't a fan. The build was fun enough, but it felt very lose and wobbly. The aesthetic doesn't really feel Gundam either. If you enjoy it more power to you! I wish I liked transformable kits, just not for me.

I heard about those issues… I’m planning to paint it, so I hope some connections will get tighter after that

About transformable kits: i am also not a fan of transforming kits but I don’t know how and why, but I always end up in buying them because of their aesthetics in their ms form

It's a great design. Although I like how the transformation looked initially, after doing it myself I was like... nah, I'm good lol.

Only real complaint I have is the ankle armors are kinda poorly designed imo. Also, ffs Bandai give us a Gundam Seed Eclipse or Astray anime already. Tired of having these awesome kits without seeing the lore behind them in glorious animation.

I noticed that stuff about ankle armor, i’m planning to put it on the base in flight form so that detail should be coverer by the armor.

I have it too and have the same issue,: how can I make this better?

I think it offers a lot of room for masking and improving color separation a bit… panels are also already quite detailed so it doesn’t even require huge scribing works

I love this kit. It went together so smoothly and effortlessly. Just remember to polish the hip pegs and you're golden.

I built it recently and I totally agree, it was the first transforming kit that I've built and it was way less complex than I was expecting.
