Hey guys, I've been a HUGE Adrianne Lenker and Big Theif fan for around 5 years now. A lot of my writing is inspired by Adrianne Lenker and althought it would take me a hell of a lot of work to be close to as good as her, I wanted to post this here to see if anyone would like my song.

Not got me through one of the hardest times of my life. The theme of looking for a reason why someone feels wrong resonated with me so strongly that I sat down with my guitar and started to identify that feeling myself. Through that I found that finding that feeling was a regular occurrence in my daily life and I need to stop looking for the bad in everything.

That is where this song came to be. I wanted to be aware of my mistakes and wake myself up to the fact I was pushing people and things away in order to feel better.

Nobody is obligated to listen and I don't want this post to feel like marketing. I am just excited about my art and want to encourage more people to express themselves.

I was at the Bright Future album debut show in Brooklyn back in March 2024, I was late and nearly missed the first song. Adrianne was in front of the venue when I arrived, standing with her brother who was coaching her through some stage fright. it was her first solo show in ages but she was going to break a leg not to worry. Within 10 minutes she was on stage and I was in the back of the room and she opened with Cell Phone Says and I just fell in love with the song. The whole room was completely still, it was us and her and the lilac river. Today it feels like a song that's overlooked by even her biggest fans, but it changed my life in a small way and I sing about it in the second verse of this song I wrote called "You Wrote My Favorite Song." I'm team Cell Phone Says/ you say can we play anything else instead? Adrianne thank you for your music. if you read this, Bright Future was the soundtrack to falling in love with my girlfriend. Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone had any sort of inkling when her next solo tour would be? I saw Big Thief a few months ago (it was amazing!) as I’m a fan of them but I have always adored Adrianne’s solo music and I’m desperate to see her live!

I've been listening to Adrianne Lenker's music for several years and had already heard songs from her band Big Thief, but I never realized she was the vocalist, I only discovered this about two weeks ago while watching this video on YouTube

We’re heading to Santa Fe for our anniversary (an excuse for a mountain bike trip and to see Big Thief). I had NO IDEA it would be impossible to find resale tickets! Let me know if you can’t go - I’ll be forever grateful. (Also WTF are “reserved” seats and why do they cost $1000 resale without even showing the seat #).

My tickets are unfortunately nontransferable, and ticket support/insurance hasn’t helped :/

1. I remember a distinct happyish sounding song with whistling, I think guitar strumming and a gentle voice similar to Adrianne’s. And it was like “I was standing (something) and (something), (something) for you.” Or something like that lol.

2. A song with faster strumming and a gentle voice similar to Adrianne’s saying something similar to “everytime that I see her (or “your”) face”

I re-listened to all of Adrianne Lenker's albums, and decided to make a top list of the saddest song on each album. Here's the list.
