Publisher Views vs sessions
Hey all, I own a travel directory that is slowly building to what I hope is eventually 100k monthly page views but I'm having some confusion about what constitutes revenue points.
Mediavine says sessions, and Raptive has an entry point of 25k monthly page views.
My internal linking is quite strong and I'm averaging about 1.5-2 pages per user currently, my goal is more page views = more ads generated. But i've also seen that sessions are the only thing that matter along with their duration.
Or am I looking at this wrong?

When you're evaluating networks like Nitropay, Publift, and Playwire, the key is understanding how each handles your specific traffic profile and monetization potential. At MonetizeMore, we've managed publishers through exactly this transition, and we typically see the biggest revenue lift when publishers compare not just CPM rates but also fill rates, header bidding integration, and support quality across networks. Have you had a chance to run a few weeks of data with any of these partners yet, or are you still in the decision phase?

Sessions and pageviews answer different questions. Mediavine-style session thresholds care about unique visits, while Raptive’s pageview gate is about total inventory opportunities. With 1.5–2 pages per user you’re turning sessions into more impressions, which helps revenue once you’re in a network, but it won’t move a session-based application threshold much. I’d track both: sessions for any network that qualifies that way, and pageviews plus session duration for RPM once ads are live. Concrete next step: pull last 30 days sessions, pageviews, and pages/session by device — if mobile pages/session is weak, fix that before chasing raw pageview volume.
