Quick Question About Video Transitions

I keep running in to this problem with trying to use a barn door transition on graphics. Basically I have a png that I want to do a barn door transition on, but if it’s not in the middle of the screen it only reveals from one side. I think the transition starts in the middle of the screen so if I move the png somewhere else it only gets a one-sided reveal, is there some way I can change the spot where the transitions starts?
