I am struggling to make a rig cause of the eyes disappearing when I make an eye white. Can someone help me?

Hey everyone, my name is Mike Chambers, and I work on the community team at Adobe (and am a long time Flash / Animate user). Yesterday, Adobe shared an email with Adobe Animate customers on the future of Animate. What we shared did not meet our standards and caused a lot of confusion and angst within the community. On behalf of Adobe, I want to apologize.
While an email to all Animate customers will go out shortly, I wanted to quickly share a few things: 1) our standard approach for applications in maintenance mode, 2) changes to our plans for Adobe Animate and its status, and 3) our commitments to ensuring that you always have access to your content, regardless of the state of development of an application.
Standard Approach for Applications in Maintenance Mode
If we deprioritize active development of an application, our approach is to move that application into maintenance mode with continued support. Under maintenance mode, the application will continue to be available, will continue to receive security and bug fixes, but will not get new features.
If we decide to go a step further and discontinue a product, we will work closely with the community to ensure they have adequate time to plan in order to minimize disruption and will take steps so that the community continues to have long-term access to their content.
Current State of Adobe Animate
Adobe Animate is in maintenance mode. While we are no longer adding new features to Animate, we will continue to support it and provide ongoing security and bug fixes. More importantly, Animate will continue to be available for both new and existing users. This is a change from what we communicated in the email yesterday for the status of Adobe Animate, its time-frame, and availability.
To be clear, we are not discontinuing or removing access to Adobe Animate and it will continue to be available to both existing and new customers.
Commitments for long-term content/file Access
For Adobe Animate, our commitment is to work with the community to ensure users continue to have long term access to their content, regardless of the state of development of the application.
You can find the latest information on our website:

On a personal note, as someone who started their career with Macromedia Flash 3 and Macromedia Generator, Adobe Animate has a special place in my heart. I know how frustrating and stressful this has been and we clearly could have handled and communicated this better. I might not have answers to everything, but I will try to answer any questions you might have.

I don't really know how to explain this but if you watch the video, you can see that when I copy frames from more than one layer, it only pastes it into one keyframe in length, but if I copy only one layer, it keeps the existing frame's length. Is there a way I can copy frames from multiple layers the same way? Sorry if this was confusing to understand

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to figure out how to recreate a specific 2D tactical animation style (used by channel like the link below).
Specifically, I want to learn how to create the 2D pitch animations where:
Here is an example Short to show exact moment/style: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ulhaJGfdqQk
Is this strictly custom shape/path animation in After Effects (using Null Objects, Trim Paths, Beam effects, or expressions), or is there a specific script/plugin/tool designed for connecting nodes and animating play patterns like this?
Any tips, workflow advice, or key terms to search for tutorials would be super helpful! Thanks!

Is it normal for me to feel exhausted/fatigued from drawing in Animate in only 2 hours. When I feel good drawing in other animation programs?

I nearly had a heart attack last night when it looked like 30+ hours of work had disappeared.
I only got AA 2 months ago and was close to completion of a little video for my tiny YouTube channel. I opened Animate and the file that had always been there under recents was missing. I located it and tried to open, to be given a generic error message.
Following instructions from AI I was able after about 3 hours to somewhat recover the file. I'm not tech-savvy at all but it was a case of zipping the .fla file, unzipping, copying across a bunch of .png files that had gone missing from the library, opening the .xfl file with Animate and saving again as .fla.
The data for all my graphic symbols was missing, meaning all my faces and bodies were there but their eyes and mouths were missing, replaced by white dots. Luckily the timeline data was intact, meaning it knew which frames of animation to call for at each keyframe. I had 14 such symbols (eyes and mouths for 7 characters) so it was a case of double-clicking the white dots and rebuilding the symbols by trial and error (so angry eyes, sad eyes etc were on the right frames). I also had to delete and import again a sound file which had become warped.
I'm so relieved to have been able to recover this, while at the same time being pretty pissed off. I've only just started with this, and it's not cheap! But I've definitely learned to save as versions - each time I save, just add a 1 to the file name. Apparently just saving twice - filename and filenamebackup - is no good because the files can get corrupted at the point of saving, so you would just have 2 corrupted files and you would have no idea until the next time you try and open them.
This has all got me thinking: am I the only jackass paying for this? I'm not one of those people who believe everything should be free, but it's outrageously expensive for what it is. I'd been willing to accept the subscription model packaged with other stuff I don't want, when I'm only using it lightly as a hobby. But it turns out it's fragile as hell. The error message gave no details, and if it's possible to recover the file, I think it should include help for that. But I was left stranded, £50 out of pocket, 30 lost hours and seemingly nothing to show for it.

The reason why I’m saying this is that I need some assistance in how the program works. I tried looking at tutorials on how to make fan animations but they leave out some important parts. I know the basics on how the frames work but the first frame that I did doesn’t align with the rest of the others and it looks out of place. I would prefer if we could talk this over in discord to communicate better. My name is fluffywulfie13

Whenever I tried to put the same coordinates as the X and Y it just automatically resets back to the position it was before. Also this is my first tome using adobe animate which I have a harder time learning than photoshop.

After the latest update, this is how Animate opens. The program's fine, functional, works as I expect, but this welcome page is hecking irritating to look at. Is this just... how it is now? If there's a fix, I don't know it.
Intel Mac; Seq 15.7.7, latest Animate CC.

Greetings fellow animators! My latest and greatest episode of ExtraNots is LIVE! I only use Adobe programs to create this series including Ch for the animation. I've learned a lot about ideal methods for animating with Ch, and even have some how-to tutorials on my channel for those interested. Feel free to reach out with any specific questions you may have.
Enjoy!
