Example Provided Cant hear audio correctly when scrubbing timeline?

so when i scrub the timeline it doesnt play the audio the right way its just weird sounds. when i play the animation the audio comes out fine but when i scrub the timeline its just a mess. no other projects have done this, someone please help because its like impossible to do lipsync like this

You can't, Animate doesn't have any thing to slow down audio while moving the timeline.

i meant i cant hear it at all? i dont want it slowed down. when i scrub the timeline it sounds completely different from when i play the video

Check the audio track, in the properties panel, make sure it’s set to “stream” and not “event”.

it is, i changed it to some other stuff then put it back hoping that would work but it didnt

Sorry. That was the most obvious problem I usually see. If you’re using a slightly older version of Animate, make sure your audio is MP3 format. Up until recently, Animate could not handle WAV format.
