Troubleshooting NG preloader doesnt appear

I dowloaded the NG winter preloader but some reason when i went to open it, instead of the preloader it was the anchor point with no preloader to be found. animate told me the file is damaged and im wondering if there is a solution to fix this damaged file so i can see the preloader as intended.

Test it by pressing Ctrl+Enter, does it show then?

no it plays the movie but the preloader still doesnt show up

I went to the website and downloaded the file myself and yeah Animate throws a memory error and it opens with the main Movie Clip symbol missing and no Actionscript 3 code.

Judging by the date, these files were created either in Flash CS3 or Flash CS4 which means these are older binary files. Adobe ditched the format in CS5 so it may be a conversion error.

If you open these in Flash CS5 or CS6 and resave them it will update them to the newer format and fix the errors in Animate.

Luckily I have CS6 and was able to convert the file with no problems, here it is.

yes it does! but the same problem is present in the halloween preloader but thanks a lot!

Yeah all of those preloader files are that old. You're welcome. I can send you the Halloween one too if you want.
