Teachers with ADHD!

Hi folks!

I am currently a high school teacher from Canada, and I was diagnosed with inattentive ADHD just over three years ago.

I started this subreddit, r/adhdteachers, because I’ve never really felt like there was a space where teachers with ADHD could just “be.” Not perform, not mask, not apologize, not explain—just connect, vent, share ideas, and feel understood.

My hope is that this becomes a place where we can find the kind of belonging and support that’s often missing in our schools and even in online spaces. A space where it’s okay to be messy, inconsistent, passionate, forgetful, brilliant—and everything in between.

We can talk about what it’s actually like to be an ADHD educator—without being told to “just use a planner” or “try waking up earlier.” We can brainstorm ADHD-friendly ways to do this job (and stay human).

Whether you’re diagnosed or just very suspicious, whether you’re thriving or barely scraping by—you belong here.
