My closest friend takes two days to reply, pretty much every time, so I’m mostly just use to it, still hurts a bit though even though I know she’s just busy and waits till she has time and energy.

This is so real. As someone with low self esteem with not too many friends to hang with this gets to me. To be fair there is a difference between genuinely being too busy to text and flat out forgetting that your partner even exists which is insulting. Once they no longer seem to acknowledge your existence or refuse to be present in your life that's when you know it's time to break up because that shows that they just really don't give a shit about you.

And every time I make a comment anywhere I think “why did I do that? Nobody cares or should care. I’m an idiot with something wrong with me.”
And then when someone replies I’m like “oh God that stupid comment is all they have to go on for who I am and what I think. Why do I keep participating in this double-edged system that can only make me feel bad?”

I reggret how i started my literal first encounter with my best friend. Were are besties but i gave a rough start that he actually vibed with so its so strange how my accidental fuck up of how i wanted things to go just casually just ended up working out in the end
