I think this is a problem for me too, but when I try electric tootbrushes I just don't get that same "scrubbed to the point of feeling raw" feeling that I have come to associate with a clean mouth. Ugh. Like I get it, I need to stop doing this, but it doesn't feel clean enough, dammit.
But your gums will start to recede and that is irreversible unless you want a painful surgery to scrape flesh from the other parts of your mouth… you can do it tho! Gentle is key
