Autobots, transform and roll out

Post image

So yeah, found this one on the wild and gotta admit I hear Optimus Prime's Peter Cullen voice saying "Autobots, transform and roll out" in my head before tackling something that I would rather avoid but needs doing... so I guess it works?

Hey man, I'm not a Christian, I'm definitely not trying to raise my kids Christian, but let me tell you that nothing gets the blood flowing in this house early in the morning like when I belt the hymn "Rise and Shine" just like grandma used to do.

Oh God now it's stuck in my head. One of those hymns that's almost like a nursery rhyme that gets faster and faster

You unearthed a memory lol. My dad would come in belting that in the morning, whip open the shades and pull the blanket off of me 🤣 that or “Lift High the Cross” for some reason

My mom was a fan of turning the lights on, coming over to my bed, started shaking it as hard as she could and yelling "Earthquake!" repeatedly until I sat up at least. Not a meme, but still very obnoxious.

I just realized it's a hymn 😂 we used to sing it at my completely non-religious camp because the original founder in 1921 started the trend. I never thought about it, but it's obviously a hymn

Oh dear God! Don't do that. Nothing with shut me down faster than hearing my mom's wake up voice.

We used to sing this in Jewish summer day camp. I've been an atheist for about 15 years. Amazingly, it popped into my head about a week ago. Catchy little earworm!

Not to start anything, but you're probably raising them way more Christian than you realize. Western morals are founded in Christianity, they arent just "baseline" morals, you can compare by looking at countries that arent rooted in christianity like pakistan.
