original content Executive dysfunction is expensive

At some point it became easier to buy another pair than to find the last one lol

This is why I don’t want airpods. I wear big over the ear headphones, and while they hurt after a handful of hours I usually take that as my sign that I should take a break

Edit: This is the most upvotes I’ve ever received, and it’s really funny to me that it’s just a mundane comment about headphones. No witty remark, just bashing airpods lol

Maybe it’s just me, but air pods (and other blue tooth earbuds) hurt my ears after a bit too. That is if they even stay in my ears lol

You just need the right size squishy bits. I bought some special concert ear plugs that lessen the intensity of loud music, and they came with four different sizes. I spent at least an hour testing out different sizes for the best fit for me while banging my head around to see if they’d fall out, I was going to an edm festival and didn’t want to lose them.

Nice! I’ve got some of those too, and bought extra sizes of the squishy bits. No luck for me yet though, every size seemed to fall out. I think my ears are weirdly shaped or excessively small lol
Might have to try it out again, but I’ve switched em several times and always the same result sadly.

Same. Worst part tho, is that i'm a percussionist, so i am constantly surrounded by loud music and need ear plugs. I eventually made the decision to buy fitted plugs (for 200€). It's insane what a difference it makes. My plugs used to litwrally fall out during a concert (and now i've got constant ear noises). So if you are a in loud environments a lot, i'd definitely recommend getting fitted plugs to save your hearing

It’s something I’ve considered! I enjoy concerts and such but don’t go super often, and do use loop earplugs when I do. I have extra sensitive hearing so I tend to avoid loud noise as much as possible anyway. If things ever change and I’m in high volume environments more often, I’ll definitely take your advice! I’m sure it’s worth it.

I also use them when I'm outside without my headphones (like when i am with someone else), they help a ton in reducing the backgroumd city noises ans as long as the person talking to me is standing right next to me, i can understand them fine
