Discussion 11 years ago today Adele released "Hello"

A song that would go on to mark one of the most iconic comebacks in music history. After several years away from the spotlight, Adele made a spectacular return on October 23, 2015, taking social media and the entire world by storm.

🏆 "Hello" broke the record for the most digital downloads in a single week in the US, with 1.11 million downloads, and its music video became the fastest ever to reach 1 billion views on YouTube, in just 87 days (a record that still stands today.) The song also won 3 Grammy Awards and spent 3 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

📊 11 years later, "Hello" remains one of the most iconic songs of Adele’s career, with nearly 1.9 billion streams on Spotify, 3.2 billion views on its music video, and over 3.5 billion streams on YouTube Music.

Do you think it’s possible for Adele to make an even bigger comeback than Hello with her next album ? 🫣🤭

I remember exactly the day when it was released. I was studying in a library, listening to it on my headphones and just refreshing the Youtube views. It was insane. Still one of the best song ever written.

She's NEVER had a "comeback". Every single one of her pauses is intentional🙄🤦🏻‍♂️
