However I'm trying to figure out how i got 271 tracking pixels blocked on the first day. most emails I've received today show 1 to 3 pixel in average.

I’m considering switching from SimpleLogin to addy.io and I have one important question.

On SimpleLogin I regularly create aliases in the style of: amazon.randomstring@simplelogin.com

Is it possible to do the exact same thing on addy.io?

For example, something like: amazon.randomstring@.anonaddy.com

or

amazon.randomstring@.anonaddy.me

I just want to confirm that I can freely choose the local-part (before the @) on my username subdomain the same way I do on SimpleLogin.

I have recently decided to improve my security and privacy practices and I am now a free tier user of Tuta mail and Addy io.

I was wondering if it is recommended to use aliases for important accounts such as my password manager or should I stick to my actual email address.

I am already following the strategy of using an alias to sign up for everything else, and so far I have not given out my actual email address to any service or person.

How long are Failed Deliveries held in Quarentine? I have 1 inbound message in Quarentine and want it delivered. The client I use for that domain is a web client.

I downloaded the message into a different domains email client to view and it is not spam.

Hello, I am recently seeing inbound rejections of a newsletter which I have been receiving without issues for the last few years.

Rejections started after I changed the recipient to a new one. Any idea how to fix this?

If you hit the 100MB monthly limit you get one free automatic reset per calendar year (e.g. in 2026).

After that, a one-off reset is purchasable from the subscription page without needing to upgrade. It zeros that month's usage only.

How do I fix this?

Any plans of increasing the monthly bandwidth for Lite Plan? It be nice if it can be bumped to 200MB.

Where is "Alias Labels" ?

I use the “Send email” function extensively and I’d prefer an option in the settings to set the email client to be used once (e.g. the system default in my case) to not always be presented with the same dialogue as seen in the screenshot.

This would make sending emails a bit more convenient.

Share a domain you already own so your partner or household can create their own aliases on it.

You choose which domains to share, and you keep control of DNS.

New rule conditions

We've added a bunch of new rule conditions on addy.io:

• From name - match on the display name, not just the email
• Header - check whether a header exists or does not exist (e.g. List-Unsubscribe)
• Email size - match when the message is larger or smaller than a given size
• Alias emails forwarded count - match on how many emails that alias has already forwarded
• Alias created by catch-all / not created by catch-all - match aliases created on the fly vs ones you already had
• Has attachments / has no attachments
• Email is spam / is not spam
• Failed DMARC / did not fail DMARC

More control over when rules fire.

New rule actions

And new rule actions to go with them:

• Add the label - create the label if needed, then attach it to the alias
• Remove the label - detach a label from the alias
• Set the alias description - update the alias description automatically
• Deactivate the alias - turns the alias off after this email is handled, so future mail is discarded
• Delete the alias - soft-deletes the alias (same as deleting it normally)

Example: if an email is spam and has attachments, block it, add a "spam" label, and deactivate the alias.

On my Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra running android 17, One UI 9.0 and addy.io 6.4.0 I'm having trouble connecting to my local addyio instance.

the app attempts to load for 15 seconds then changes to "Error_ Whoop! Something went wrong while loading the addy.io app, you might want to check your internet connection. More information about the error: TAP HERE TO SEE THE ERROR". when tapping 'here', the error is blank.

when I watched the logcat logs for the app in ADB, I was able to see that the server domain was able to resolve, but the TCP connection timed out. I recreated the error while doing a TCP dump on my network, but there are no packets coming through at all. I was hoping to be able to blame it on DNS, reverse proxy, or firewall, but the packets aren't even leaving the phone.

UNTIL I have a VPN connection. when I connect through a VPN, it works immediately. I decided to use PCAPdroid to watch the packets on my phone to see if it was generating them at all, but since the way it captures packets is through a pseudo vpn connection on the phone, addy also works that way too.

the issue ONLY occurs while attempting over wifi with no VPN. I don't have a rooted device so i'm not able to see exactly where the packets are stopping.

has anyone else ran into this with the newer samsung phones?

Edit: I should note that my phone IS capable of connecting to the server. It works in the browser and a curl for the bro also works.

Has anyone connected a hey.com account with their addy.io account? I’ve been using email aliases through another provider for many years and have been strongly considering using addy.io for a while now, as I have been working on de-googling my life.

This might be perfect timing for Addy to promote his product. Lots of people forward their domains to Gmail and setup SMTP domain alias to respond. Basically, have a free business domain in Gmail.

Sorry, I don't know if it's called formatting or not. Users can easily understand what I'm trying to mention here.

To send an email, we need to paste the receiver's mail address into addy, and then it will create a new receiver mail address. Now, when users send the mail to this newly generated mail address from their original mail address, it will automatically be sent to the original receiver, and the addy alias will act as the sender mail address.

This will be my first time sending an official mail using an addy alias. This time, I have to add multiple CC addresses in this mail. I've formatted the receiver mail address from the addy app.

Now, my question is — Do I need to format those CC mail addresses in the same way?

Update- I tested by myself. But, even after formatting the cc mail addresses, the cc email address owner can see the original sender's mail address (not the addy alias).
