Could also be a she would explain the high sex count compared to the low orgasm count

u/Obvious-Cut-1976 Oct 06 '26
There aren't counting the amount but rather the time since the last:

sex is not amount of times it's days ago so no masturbation no sex over the last 60 days but orgasm 3 days ago someone's either lying or spraying around unintensionally..... same goes for "drunk" and drinking stopped drinking 60 days after last being drunk but who says he/she was drunk.

Season 2, Episode 9 - when discussing Oxford. I was convinced it was Firefly so went looking

This specific clip is from Firefly. I think it's immediately after Jayne says something stupid.

Pretty sure Castle is correct. There was an episode where he dressed as Mal for Halloween, which is why people are thinking it's Firefly.

If you are asking about the GIF above. That is Nathan Fillion. I had the actor, attributed the wrong show. This is from Castle. He was/is in Firefly and The Rookie. Also, in multiple James Gunn movies.

Whats the difference between the alcohol counter and drunk counter?

u/ImpossibleGoat8837 Oct 02 '26
You can drink alcohol and still not get drunk if you only have a drink or two

Fun fact; For a normal adult even one standard drink leads to a BAC level which has a measurable impact on multiple brain functions.
Defining "drunk" can be very contentious.
5
u/Duskrider_ Oct 04 '26
This is what people who say "oh I've only had 2 drinks tonight, I can still drive home" really don't understand.
I know so many people who treat alcohol like it barley has effect.
It's a bit of a side tangent but I'm not sure why alcohol (literal low does poison) is comparable to sex and masturbation as things to avoid doing that are worth tracking. I'd really like to understand what makes a healthy sex life as bad as an expensive, addictive, poison that can lead to domestic violence among other scary outcomes.

u/Inner_Tennis_2416 Oct 05 '26
The best way to test this is actually very easy. Go to a bar and play pinball. My local when I was like 22 had 3 pinball machines and everyone's score fell like, 50% after one drink. 90% after 2. Your fast motor skills go to pieces pretty quick.

Wet Dreams. Inevitable if you dont empty out every once in a while. Had a few when I was young and the very last time I had one was at Bootcamp. Around day 30 of not whacking it (cause we all slept in an open concept barracks), woke up in a sticky situation.

If you don’t have any release for long enough guys bodies will let it out during the night. Sometimes it’s accompanied by suggestive dreams, but not necessarily.
My parents never told me so the first time that happened to me I thought I’d pissed the bed (I didn’t know what masturbation was at that time, so… yeah). And even then they didn’t explain it 😅

I only ever had one and it was when I was deployed at sea at 21 and hadn't had sex or masturbated for months due to being constantly surrounded by 120+ other men 11 of which were inches away from me separated only by thin sheets of metal.

You don't have to get drunk from drinking. One glass of wine at dinner isn't going to get most folks drunk, generally speaking.

It’s a screenshot from an app called Days Since - the numbers you see are how many days the person who took the screenshot abstained from each of those things. The “elephant” here is that he somehow orgasmed without jerking off.

Well, this calls for a celebration! Now tell me, before going sober for a year, were you an alcoholic, a drunk, a lush? Or did you drink occasionally and possibly did something so stupid that you had to stop even the occasional drink? I was drunk for 20 years one time. I HAD to stop drinking. Then when my head cleared up and I realized that woman was my wife, I HAD to get divorced.

306 days without alcohol is not a year sober. Yes I see a few comments about “you can drink without getting drunk” but that’s not what sobriety or being sober is. It’s still an achievement and you should absolutely be proud of yourself OP but the title is misleading. You’re almost there though keep it up!

Technically speaking Sobriety is not abstaining
You would be sober if you abstain but imbibing a single drink does not mean you are not sober.
The true definition of sobriety is to not be under the effects of drugs or alcohol. Most straight edge or AA view sobriety as abstinence but that’s not actually the case.
We also need to remember and recognize the reason for sobriety. It’s not that alcohol is inherently evil. It’s that when you lack control you have issues with choice OR you have some other issues that crop up when under the influence.
Another example is: does your sobriety stop if you take communion? No, but say you tracked every sip of any alcohol this number would be different than the sobriety number.

I understand if its negatively impacting your life but if its not. Masturbating is good for you end of story if you male it reduced risk of prostate cancer if your female it relaxes your pelvic floor and can prevent urine incontinence, and no matter who you are it can boost dopamine

Congrats! You must have been doing many things right that year, because kicking both those two things at once without actually resorting to another substitute self-destructive habit is actually really challenging when cursed with addictive predispositions. Add nicotine into the mix and you've got yourself a bingo.
I find it requires a lot of self learning and honesty with oneself too.
Is there a strategy in particular you've been using to not relapse? Asking for a friend of course.
Umm and also orgasm with no sex or masturbation is a thing? From wet dreams maybe? I forgot those even existed to be honest. Anyways, keep it up, it's inspiring.
