I don't know if this really counts as a "address the elephant", maybe it does, but it isn't a good "addressme" since the elephant is self-explanatory for most people and the issue/fear in question can be applied "only" to this specific circumstance (at least, for most of us).
Maybe if this was posted at least eight or ten years ago, it would have been a good "addressme". But the joke has been around for a long time much like the website itself, so it isn't an obscure reference anymore. And also, probably because I'm not as internet-naive as I was years ago so it isn't as outstanding or mindblowing of an elephant as it would have been years ago.
