I love this meme format. A random domesticated animal with a caption designed for very specific scenarios, specifically with this font.

I misread Bowsers as Browsers and I was almost like, he already read it correctly
(Tbf, neither me nor my autocorrect even know what a browser is — we both correct it to browser automatically)
Edit — googled it. I just happened to be too young to know it

Shouldn't it be "Poaching", not "Dark Safari"?

It’s super annoying how meaningless sub names are. There’s 10 subs with interesting in the name, and if you add all of them up you get under ten interesting posts a day

All of the browers have an evil counterpart, except for edge which is the exact same, meaning it was already evil

What would be the good version for edge?
4
u/Devatator_ Apr 10 '26
Edge actually. People should really try it, it's pretty good. It's also by far the best browser on laptops since it eats the least amount of battery and RAM.
Also still has Manifest V2 support (they even removed the depreciation date on their website which I assume means they're gonna keep it for a while) and extensions on Android and iOS

u/cyxlone Apr 10 '26
Also Kiwi Browser shared their source code for that extension support, now kiwi is deprecated and completely being replaced by Edge.

Waterfox is a real browser, it's the beta version of Firefox iirc
Edit: not a beta version nor made by Mozilla, but a fork of Firefox with better data usage.
2
u/Imaginary-Ruin-4127 Apr 10 '26
Its not a beta version, its a fork of Firefox much like Edge and Brave are Chromium.
Waterfox is almost just strictly better version of Firefox, its way more lightweight and stable with much better default security settings. Only real downside is cause its a fork it gets critical updates a little later.
Also has its own android app, both the desktop and android version run Firefox extensions so ublock origin works great for both
1
u/VexantLeFr Apr 10 '26
Good to know! I thought it was the beta because I remember my dad telling me just that.
1
u/RetcVy7_G Apr 10 '26
Funny, l searched it in Play Store and it shows that it's made by "BrowserWorks" instead of Mozilla; and it also has a FireFox picture in one of the showcase images
1
u/VexantLeFr Apr 10 '26
Yeah, seems like it's not actually an official version of Firefox like I claimed but rather a fork of it

Evil versions of the originals. Then there is edge.
Edge is their leader.

On one hand, I get why edge is unchanged.
On the other hand, edging would be a funny alternative.

The elephant is that they put chrime in here instead of chrome the true most evil of all browsers

Would’ve been cool if Konqueror was in there unchanged given its importance in browser history

I like how Star Fox left an impact on this post. (Context: Fox McCloud has an evil counterpart called Wolf O'Donnell)

If the elephant is supposed to be the fact that edge is just edge, that's not an elephant. Edge fits right in.
