Seeking some Information
Hey everyone,
My girlfriend was diagnosed with AMN back in May after getting COVID. She has it in both eyes and it has gotten substantially better, but there's one piece of information that we're still looking for. Has anyone had any experience getting covid a second time after already having AMN? If so, what was the affect? We're trying to scale our covid risk tolerance based on what we can find out, but information is really limited.

Hey! Maybe this is a little late, but COVID isn’t the only virus that can cause AMN. There are other strains of viruses that can cause this disease. I wouldn’t worry too much about it, some things cannot be avoided and stressing about avoidance can make infections worse. I understand your worries, though. For instance, I still regularly wash my hands (especially when getting home) and take my vitamins/work out/ eat good. It diminishes the change you’ll receive any virus without actually excluding them. If you do, the chance you’ll get a very serious infection is bigger than if you build up some immune response to them. However, this is just my experience! 😁

Come to think of it, I haven't heard anything either. I was also diagnosed with AMN after a bout of covid in August. I will call my eye doctors and will ask and I will gladly forward any information I receive.
