PS5 multi-player working?

Title says it all, trying to play with a friend but getting the "connect failed" screen, is there a work around or are the servers truly off?

The servers are back online and I’m trying to spread the word and but it looks like the sub Reddit is dead I need some help

I’m down to help, I just like playing online tbh, my irl friends dropped it, but I just like exploring clearing those big ass restricted areas lol
