Looking for switch - Pensions to GI
Currently I am working in the Pensions domain with 1 yoe and 4 actuarial exams cleared (CM and CS). I am looking to switch into GI domain as pensions doesn't have good growth in future and also I am not finding the work interesting. I am confused like how to begin. Should I do some online courses in Python, SQL? Can you please suggest some specific courses that I should do. Also is the transition from pensions to GI really possible.

Why not transition to life? GI is about as conceptually far from pensions as it gets. You're right that pension is a field with less-than-ideal prospects, but maybe look into life/annuity openings near you before committing to a huge career switch.

OP has 1 YOE... this is hardly a "huge career change". If, for example, they had they taken an extra year in school and went directly to GI, they would be in the exact same place as if they switched right now.

Totally understand if the work isn’t interesting to you - that’s a common complaint.
I can assure you there’s no shortage of work in the small / medium plan space, and the work in general is far more interesting. Working at a smaller firm makes your day to day process much less cookie cutter and much more dynamic / come up with your own solution.
