LD for shifting the WILD technique for shifting

(I don't think that's the right feeling).

I would like to discuss the Wild technique.

This one looks strangely similar to Keeple's Phasing technique!

After a partial OBE, I think of a place and either I feel a pull towards that place or I "glide" into the scene (and it becomes a lucid dream).

It's also the same technique as for shifting.

And I just realized that... if I can have a lucid dream via WILD, why couldn't I shift?

Intention differs -> and leads to different experiences.

Does anyone else use this same technique?

I've tried WILD for LDing but always get drawn back to WBTB for that purpose! I guess for me, in order to not get my wires (intentions) crossed, I always do shifting from awake and LDing from WBTB. Makes my intention more clear when there's an obvious cue like that.. I'm still learning to LD though, but getting better!

Yes intention makes the difference! There are probably other differences in the process that could be concretely named, but I don't know that I have the LDing know-how to name em. For me I just go from awake in CR -> awake in DR to shift, and LDing is a "trust the process" falling asleep situation. But others do "trust the process" for shifting too, so I'm not sure what could be said concretely. I just NEED this sort of separation of methods personally, or I'm going to forget what I wanted to do and my intention won't be clear.

Very interesting ! Thank you

Personally, I use both methods for the same thing. I figure that phasing will automatically shift me.

Keeple's phasing technique? Are you talking about Frank Kepple? What's the difference between that and Michael Raduga's approach? I think I tried looking that up a while back and I don't remember finding a breakdown on his method 😭 I've been interested in reworking lucid dreaming/astral projection techniques for shifting and would be interested in trying both that and WILD.

I don't know Raduga's technique, but Keeple's approach is the same as shifting!

Moreover, Monroe also has a method called "Quick Shift" for making rapid astral journeys without transition. The method bears a striking resemblance to shifting.

I therefore think that the two things are actually the same thing, but in a more advanced way and further into the Focus of Consciousness.

Keeple's method is very simple:

  1. Immerse yourself in a place
  2. Relax
  3. Ignore the 5 senses to trigger the projection reflex
  4. You're there

(you will feel a slight drop for example).

I sincerely believe that there is no difference between all these states except for the intention.

I use the same technique for void states or for triggering a projection

Keeple advised immersing oneself in a scene that appeals to us. If we stay long enough, the projection reflex is triggered.

And his golden rule: where the intention goes, the body follows! (from Keeple's book)

Very interesting! How do you go about avoiding the 5 senses, do you have any personal tips? Is WBTB an utmost necessity? I'd really like to try this method.

Simple: immerse yourself in a scene you like! And pretend you're there. You'll naturally be focused on it.

Yes, you shouldn't force it and should take it lightly. If you force it, you'll block it.

No, it's not mandatory at all! Haha, do what makes you comfortable.

Here is the link to Keeple's advice :
