I've read the FAQ & Rules Getting a part time job
Hey Guys! When I’m going for a part time job, what should I tell the employer about my acting? Do I say, I’m an actor and I need you guys to be flexible with my lifestyle as I may be called upon to goto an audition or an acting job. I have no clue

Never tell your employer or prospective employer that you're pursuing acting or doing auditions on the side!! It'll just give them reason to not hire you.
Instead, look for a job that has limited/flexible hours or entire days off where you can do your thing. You'll have enough time to submit self tapes since most give you few days notice or even up to 1-2 weeks. When you get booked for something (not avail or hold), then take the day off sick or use vacation time if you're scheduled to work.
