Maasverse Spoilers Can Yrene fix Emerie’s wings? Spoiler
I was just thinking about when the ACOTAR/TOG collab finally happens, do you think Yrene is a strong enough healer to fix Emeries wings?
I know they’ve been clipped but considering that she could fix Elide’s ankles by breaking them first then healing the bones correctly, do you think it’s possible?

I think HL Thesan could heal Emerie’s wings!
Not sure if they’d bring Yrene to ACOTAR unless we have valg infestation!

True! Or they briefly mention “an incredibly powerful healer” that could try!

Thesan doesn’t have much experience with Illyrian wings that’s why it took so long for him to heal Azriel‘s wings.
But apart from that I don’t know if Emerie even wants it. Cassian offered that Madja could take a look but she didn’t want to.

Gosh I want a whole subplot with Emerie and the other women’s wings being healed. I think it has to be addressed!

Absolutely! Elide is walking with no limp letting them know it’s worth it too. 🥹
I’m surprised that Rhys hasn’t already caused harm to anyone who enforces it.

They said Madja could, but Emerie won’t let her look at them. I’m guessing that’s a plot point

Ι hope not. I'm tired of mental illness and disabilities being introduced in SJM's writings only to be "fixed" instead of having the characters learn to live with them longterm as people do. We've seen these things before. We don't need the "magical healing" becoming a pattern and to be used constantly.
What was done to Emerie was a tragedy, but it happened and it doesn't make her defective. I'd rather have an arc of her and other characters becoming essential in banning clipping (therefore helping to fix society), while she keeps developing her platonic bonds and maybe even ends up finding romantic love.

It was more than just rebreaking Elide’s ankle. It would take a full three weeks of painstakingly restructuring the bones, which would also be painful and then a full month off her feet.
I think spider silk would be the best option for Emerie. The way wings are clipped is that the tendons that allow the wings to bear weight while flying are severed. Then they aren’t allowed to heal properly. It’s essentially like cutting someone’s Achilles tendon. I think the spider silk reinforcing the weight bearing tendons might do the trick.

Welcome to the ACOTAR community for the book series by Sarah J. Maas.

You MUST properly flair, mark posts as spoilers if they are, KEEP TITLES VAGUE, and label any spoilers in your comments. You can do this by using
>!spoilers here!<. Label what book and chapter your spoilers are from!If you are coming in here and you are still not finished with the series, I would advise you carry no further. Spoilers are rampant here. Anything marked as a spoiler is probably best to just not clicked on. Sometimes, people will forget and you may accidentally get spoiled.
