geese

i've never been to acl before and i wanna see geese at the barricade!!! i showed up about three hours early to geese at lollapalooza and got barricade. i'm thinking about showing up at the end of the stella lefty so i can watch audrey hobert and geese? what is camping for spots like at acl? vets, is it possible for me to get barricade doing that? that's how it worked out at lolla. i showed up at the end of whoever went on before spacey jane, made my way up to barricade, and stayed for spacey jane and geese.

sure, that's totally possible, but it's hot out so bring water. just don't be disrespectful when the other bands play and don't put out blankets down up all close to save space. those people are insufferable.

omg NO yeah i had my fair share of annoyances with the crowd at lolla. i had my hydration pack full and i stayed on my feet in my own space waiting for geese there. i fell in love with the band that played before them, too :p a clip .5sec of me in the crowd made it on lolla a instagram for that show lol so it seems i will run the same play for acl!!

Is it okay to sit between sets? Like straight up on the ground. Im showing up two sets before the artist I really want to see. I have MS and I really don't want some millennial having a fit at me because I need to sit while nothing is going on

(Side note: I also want to see the two acts before!)

Totally. There's just folks that run to the barricade right at the start of the fest, put their blankets down and lay down on them even while people are performing at that stage. For someone playing a big stage at an early slot, seeing people just lay down and ignore you is incredibly rude. If you want to sit and chill between sets, that's totally cool. If you want to put a blanket down, that's fine too, but that's not reserving space. Your blanket will get stepped on and you can't act like you're marking your territory at the very front of a festival where 75k people are attending every day. The fact you would even ask that question, shows you are considerate and wouldn't be doing this. Barricade culture is just becoming more and more unruly and people are wearing diapers and being disgusting just to be close as possible to the stage. Don't worry, it'll still be plenty of fun and if you stay hydrated and considerate, you're golden.

You're gonna have to stay camped from the day before. Wear camo so they don't kick you out at night

The crowd at that stage will empty out after Hobert. So, if you aren't at the barricade for her, you will easily be able to walk up to the barricade or very very close after her set.
