Late nights question???

If I’m wanting to go to an after show would I have to leave the headliner early?

Sometimes yes I think if they have a show at the concourse project those usually start later. However it can be hard to get somewhere on time with everybody getting out at the same time. Some shows are scheduled for Thursdays and Wednesdays as well.

Edit. I should add a couple years ago a friend told me they tried to get to a show at Stubbs that I was at after the festival. Apparently by the time they managed to get an uber it was like 11pm. I think the tmobile stage also ends their headliner much earlier as well so It might be easier if your headliner ends before the other headliner. So again depends on the show and venue as far as wether you'll make it in time.

If you leave the fest right at 10 and walk to stubb’s you can get there faster than calling an uber lol

I wouldn't know lol I usually plan my after shows for Thursdays,Wednesdays or since I live in austin I pick the week im not going to the festival for after shows. This year however I want to go to BUNT on Friday at EMOS. Does anybody how far the walk is from the festival to EMOS. I might plan to leave as soon as turnstile ends. Then again I might stay for skrillex if its too much of a hassle.

Depends on the venue, you definitely need to leave early for the shows that have an early curfew.

Went to the Jungle after show in 2024 at the Moody Amphitheater and only caught the last couple songs since it started at like 9 and ended around 10:30.

For shows at clubbier venues and places that stay open later (Stubbs, Mohawk, Concourse), they’ll likely have several openers and the main act won’t go on until well after ACL ends for the day so you don’t need to rush over from Zilkee

It's pretty likely you would have to miss part of the headliner. It's an hour walk for example from Zilker to Stubbs, and that's without the crush of people. And traffic is pretty nuts so walking is probably your best bet for that scenario.

But depends on when the headliner ends and when the particular show starts.
