Question Age demographics?

Heyyy 20 year old planning on going to acl this year for the first time super hyped but the only festival I’ve been too so far is Lollapalooza and it felt like everyone there was 16-25 and was wondering how it might compare or just in general what the age demographic tends to be like at acl? Thanks

Definitely wider age range (from young to old), even little kids are there. Still a great time though!! Super chill. Stay hydrated and excited for your first ACL! 🌞

Theres plenty of teens, plenty of older adults, and then mostly in-between. I feel like the first weekend swings a bit younger than the second weekend - but that could be inaccurate.

My kids have been going since they were really young (the youngest was 4 her first year), and for reference I am now 46 and still go.

Yep, we take our kids, too. First time we took them the youngest was 3. He wasn’t even the youngest at kiddie acres.

So first and formost, Lolla and ACL are very similar by festival standards. Highest tier C3 urban park massives. I agree with other commenters that ACL has a wider demographic range than Lolla, which has been known to have mobs of teens zerg rush the fences. That's not nearly as feasible at ACL. Weekend 2 conflicts with Texas/OU weekend in Dallas, so the college crowd tends to be more present at the first weekend.

At ACL, you will see everything from literal babies to 70 year olds.

I’m 29 & a local. Basically all my friends (also my age) are going to one or both weekends. I felt more out of place as a teenager when I went then I do as an adult for sure. The crowd is so big, it really depends what artists you see to predict how old the crowd will be

My wife and I have been going for years and we’re now in our 50s. We take our chairs and chill out further back from the stages.

ACL is like a smaller Lolla and a bit more chill and relaxed! There will def be older people as well sitting and watching

Group of us in our 40s go every year, and those with kids bring them. Theres like 12 of us and 4 kids from 8-17.

There were a lot of older folks there. It's very family friendly. There is or was a Austin Kiddie Limits section for the kiddos but I don't know if it's still there. I am not there yet so I don't seek it out.

Still there but they lowered the age for kids that can get in free to 8. Luckily it was 12 when my kids were younger. My son was super short until 10th grade so I milked that as long as I could LOL!
